Hi all,

I'm semi-new to EVE (or more like a person who never played for long but started and stopped several times), and I'm actually trying to make a serious run at skilling up towards a battleship this time around.

Currently I'm working out of a Caracal, and while I'd like to eventually move into a Drake, I don't (unlike many players) want to stick with that ship long term as my mission ship, and would instead like to rather rapidly push on into a Raven, if only because there are just so many Drakes out there right now (yes, there are a lot of Ravens too, but probably fewer than Drakes).

Anyhoo, while I'd like to not be completely incompetant when I first get my Raven, I acknowledge that my skills are going to most certainly be below par. I was wondering if anyone had a low-end Raven setup designed for lower-skilled players, but that offered them a way to step into the Raven and then push those same skills upwards towards eventually piloting with far more powerful setups?

Looking for a place to hang my hat for a while. Here is what I would like to see
1.RL comes first attitude. I am 32 Years old, and I have 2 kids. 1 is special needs. So If I have to go, then I have to go.
2. ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP!!!!!!!!11111 If you only have 4 people in your corp, don't waste my time or yours. Nothing against small corps, but eve can be a bit lonely @ 4 AM with no one to talk to.
3. People to shoot at. I would prefer a empire war dec corp, but open to a ***rmhole corp or 0.0 corp. Just as long as there are plenty of reds.
4. Some downtime to replace isk spent.

In return you get
1. Competant pilot.
2. Easy going guy.
3. Carrier and dread pilot (Have both)
4. I can All t2 combat ships for minmatar and amarr, command ships and below for cal and gallente.
5. YEARS of experience (Been playing this game for 6 years)

If i give 50% to this so person for some time like lets say one year I would easily repay a debt of one billion. Over the last couple years I ran this idea by several people and they liked it and wanted me to post it here on the forums. Finally I have some time I am willing to spend laying it out visually. The concept here is to streamline what we already have at our disposal. Reconfiguring so that information we want is closer together and as few as clicks away as possible.

If you are a little confused about what each section does, please read the description. Video may follow if it is still confusing.

the concept

(flag icon) Common Destinations
This basically takes places you have in your bookmarks and makes them easily accessible. Ideally users would setup their own groups, call them what they want and have as many drop downs as they want.

(planet arrow icon) Current Route
This combines the information we have on the left with the information we can get from going to the star map.

(four bars icon) _____ Solar System
Taking the only useful info from the map browser and moving it here.

(gradient outline ball icon) Proximity
Focusing on the system you are in, gives you information about the system you are heading to and some additional information about adjacent systems.


Why?
Common Destinations - Right people either use the note pad or their assets window for common destinations. I've even setup specific chat channels for common way points. Using the systems in place now works, but being able to click drag destinations into a navigation specific window would be ACE in my book.

Current Route - If you have several systems to stop in, unless you are on autopilot you may skip right over them because the info on the left of our screens does not say when to stop. The best way to see the info is in the map/autopilot/way points tab. Even though you have your overview available, you can not see the space around you, and getting the sense of what is around you is even worse if you have a 'travel' overview setting. Merging the map/autopilot/way points tab with the standard autopilot (navigation) info on the left into a specific tab would improve the clumsy feel we have now of getting that same information.

Proximity - All to often you have to find an alternate route. Sometimes you have to find it quickly and fumbling around menus is extremely frustrating. It is information that we already have it is just extremely difficult to get it all at once. The proximity window solves this. General Info: Apiarism currently has about 10 members a small but thriving corporation with mature players and active members with someone always being on. We have set goals and plans to expand are area of operation. As with any corporation we set out to help one another out in any problem in anyway we can. We also provide a ship replacement program for are members with replacement modules that was on your previous ship.

Current OP's: Currently we run missions in the(Caldari State, Gallente Federation space) with Lvl 4-5 access. We also do alot mining op's with access to an Orca as well.

FUTURE GOALS: Well PVE and mining OPs are what we currently do but as soon as be get more members that will all change. We are set up for Wormhole OPs and soon after we will be going into PVP, low sec ops as well. As for allainces we do have a few lined up.

Recruitment: We are looking for mature players who like to kid around have a good sense of humour. We require mo SP limit, New players or players who have been in the gamefor awhile are greatly welcome. We are also looking for miners as well who just love to mine alot. PVp exp or PVE doesn't matter which you specialize doesnt matter if you fly frigate or BS.

I first played EvE 2004 I believe, somewhere around that. Back then I was totally amazed by the gameplay, yet pushed away by the combat interface. Especially when many target where selected, with all those lines acros the screen, unnecessary cluttered and with really ugly buttons.

Isnt it time that old ugly thing gets a real revamp?? Something thats worth of EvE. Something that is up to par with the rest of the game. EvE is a big game with so many opportunities, and hell lot of content. It shines bright in so many aspect. I think the interface deserves to be up to that standard, dont you?
