      <description><![CDATA[I have this little problem. Seems like I can't connect to the eve server on my computer at work (if it's any help, downloading torrents for example doesn't work very well but it at least works), would there be any way to bypass this security issue? Would love to beable to at least change skills there.       <description><![CDATA[Hello<br /><br />I was looking for the trick which consisted in rerouting EVE client to localhost (then redirect the stream via SSH to my home computer), and it doesn't seem to be possible anymore to change the adress of the server.<br />(I've changed prefs.ini, tried to change the value "host" to 127.0.0.1.... doesn't work).<br /><br />Can anyone help ?<br /><br />Thx :)<br />]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I have an LCD TV which I sometimes use as a monitor for my laptop. It shows everything properly until I launch Eve (classic version). I see the splash screen fine but then my screen goes black. I can still see the logon page on my laptop, but the TV screen is black. As soon as I quit Eve, I can see everything properly both on my laptop and the TV. Any suggestions how to fix that?<br />]]></description>

      <title><![CDATA[Unlocking Impounded Locked BPO's - by Snatchz]]></title>

      <description><![CDATA[One of my offices got impounded, i forgot to pay the bill. Now when i try to get it all back, the UI tells me i need to unlock the bpo before it can be released. When i go to propose a vote for locked bpos in that station, nothing appears on the list and ofc now i can't get anything back. <br /><br />Is there something im doing wrong here? I have sent in 3 petitions and recieved ZERO help from the GM's on this issue. I'd just as soon deltete the locked bpo but ofc i can't do that either. I'm running out of patience with this issue and this game tbh. <br /><br />Anyone out there that can help me out with this?       <description><![CDATA[Hello,<br />I have a dell running 32bit Vista game always works fine but today after game went down I tried to log in after it came back up but all I get is the EVE splash screen picture thing and then I hear the sound of the log in screen but the picture will not display...<br />I tried reinstalling no good,tried system restore no good and right now I am trying to download the client again and then try to reinstall from that one see if it works if not i'll post it.<br />I'd really like to play the game again,is it just my computer or is anyone else having this problem???<b>???</b><img src=http://myeve.eve-online.com/bitmaps/img/board_smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif border=0 width=15 align=middle alt='Rolling Eyes'><br />]]></description>

It most commonly happens while warping, while at warp/star gates, or shortly after warping.<br /><br />For a brief moment, there is a "click" noise that plays during the peak of the audio. It wasn't a popping/clicking noise like you'd hear due to hardware bugs, but it sounded more like a very short WAV sample being played.<br /><br />Once the noise is heard for the first time, you can go into the Options-&gt;Sound menu, and hear the exact noise by checking/unchecking the Hardware Acceleration box. Yes, I am quite serious. I realise that sounds crazy, but it's true. This noise is very different from the noise heard when checking/unchecking other checkboxes.<br /><br />Things I've tried to no avail:<br /><br />* Leaving Hardware Acceleration disabled<br />* Setting UI Sound Level to 0.0<br />* Setting Music Level to 0.0<br />* Setting Voice Level to 0.0<br /><br />I can definitely record what I'm hearing and post a link if a developer is interested in tracking down the problem. I can also post a video (with audio) if need be.<br />]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Hi everyone,<br />I have a problem with a re-install of the latest classic client on my IBM/Lenovo T60 laptop ( running xp ) .<br />The game starts up , displays the "Eve Online Empyrean Age" splash in the centre, then the screen goes full screen black with the Eve mouse pointer on it.<br />I can move the pointer around, but nothing happens. Pressing escape to bring the menu up doesn't do anything either unfortunately.<br /><br />The game log only says the normal <br />------------------------------------------------------------<br /> Gamelog<br /> Session started: 2008.10.12 08:37:29<br />------------------------------------------------------------<br /><br />If I alt-tab out to another application, the screen *briefly* shows the login screen before minimising, so it is there, but I can't get to it.<br /><br />Help please !!<br /><br />ps.       <description><![CDATA[OK, so i had a corp meeting today and the ceo said for us to get on EVE voice...no problem, i never used it and it appeared to be disabled. so i go into the audio tab and click the enable button and....nothing..no new options no ability to join voice chat.<br /><br />I try every trick i can think of. I got off TS, i added a line to my prefs.ini to force it to work, and i rebooted my computer...multiple times.<br /><br />Nothing seems to be working...any advice mighty and wise eve-o community?       <title><![CDATA[Issues with cargo - by Anesdia]]></title>

      <description><![CDATA[I just got back into the game after a year or so off. Logged in, went to my main character and activated my hauler, opened the cargo bay (empty), and tried to put some of the stuff I had gathered into my hauler to make the trip to my new base of operation. But when I try to move cargo, I drag the stuff over, but I cannot get it to go into my cargo hold. When I drop it, nothing happens.<br /><br />Figuring maybe it was an issue with that character, I created a new one, but I'm having the same issue with it. I then had my friend log in, and he can transfer cargo no problem, so obviously, this is either an issue with my computer. I'm running basically the same system as I was last time I played aside from upgrading my RAM and HD. Running XP SP3. Anyone seen this before? I tried disabling my antivirus, and my firewall, tried closing down all the background stuff I can close, but nothing works.<br />]]></description>

If there is another ship on screen while I am zoomed in on mine (not massively zoomed, just normal view) my framerate suddenly drops to 10-50 FPS.       <description><![CDATA[About 2 months ago my corp asked to setup a eve dev kb this was done and ceo's full red api was entered all was good for 2 or 3 weeks then we got the message.<br /><br />A general error has occured please try later.<br /><br />A new api was generated and a sucsessful api pull was performed 2 hours later we tried to do another and got the above msg again :-( we then tried a directors api which worked for a bit then broke as above.<br /><br />Ive petitioned it 3 times and each time keep getting told to bug report it which ive done on each occaison but were still no further forward.<br /><br />Ceo reports also that he is now getting same error msg on the old gw board also although eve mon works fine (maybe only uses limited ? )<br />]]></description>

      <title><![CDATA[Can connect to Singularity, but not Tranquility - by Aronis Contar]]></title>

      <description><![CDATA[Hi!<br /><br />Since today's downtime, I cannot connect to Tranquility anymore. The login screen displays "Status: Unknown", and when I try to login I get a "The Socket was closed" error.<br /><br />I tried deleting all my user settings and the cache, didn't help. So just for fun I copied the client and tried connecting to Singularity, and that worked instantly. Playing on Singularity works just fine, but I can't get a connection to Tranquility.<br /><br />Any suggestions?<br /><br />Ciao, Aronis!<br />]]></description>

      <title><![CDATA[Modules disappearing when boarding a carrier in space - by Halali]]></title>

      <description><![CDATA[Hi there,<br /><br />A few of my friends have reported this problem lately and now one of them lost a carrier because of this. If anyone could confirm that this is happening or even give answers of why and exactly when that would be great!<br /><br />It's quite simple actually, you board a carrier in space and you don't see your modules, i.e. you cannot activate them. If you do an instant relog, it does not go away. You have to wait until your ship disappears from space before you relog, only then gets it back to normal.<br /><br />Now, it's not clear if this happens anywhere or only under POS forcefields because we haven't tried everywhere for obvious reasons. Also, you might have to board another ship and then eject and board your carrier again for this to happen.<br /><br />It happens both on classic and premium client, and on completely different hardware so this is not a "buy better comp" issue, but a genuine UI issue that has something to do with client-server interaction as a simple relog does not solve it.<br /><br />It does not always happen, but several times a day is enough to be a pain, and losing a ship worth more than 1bil because of it is more than a bit unsettling...<br /><br />Any feedback is appreciated!]]></description>

      <title><![CDATA[F11 'local' Solar System - issue with abstract/non-abstract maps? - by Kalliopia]]></title>

      <description><![CDATA[While using the F11 'local' Solar System map feature today I noticed that there seems to be an issue with plotting the player ship position on the abstract and non-abstract map.<br /><br />When viewing my ship position on the non-abstract map then the display is 'co-ordinated/synchronised' with what I expect to see happening HOWEVER when viewing the ABSTRACT map things seem to go awry i.e the ship does not move to the selected destination but moves to some seemingly random location (even disappears off the map even though the selected destination is on the map) and the 'green cone' is seen pointing in a direction apparently unrelated to the heading of the ship (but does move when the camera is moved).<br /><br />Switching between the two map displays does not seem to clear the problem.<br /><br />I've checked the Known Issues post but didn't see anything there about this.<br /><br />This is the first time I've tried to use this feature properly so don't know if it's a 'deliberate design feature' or a bug that needs fixing.<br /><br />Thought I'd get some feedback through the forum before posting a bug report.<br /><br />'Til then, any thoughts on the matter or strategies for a 'workaround' is greatly appreciated.<br /><br />pax.<br />]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Hi,<br /><br />I have logged on today and went ratting a little in a few betls.<br /><br />The strange thing is that I keep seeing a jamming counter on screen even if no rats are present. So I went to dock at a station and guess what, the jamming counter keeps appearing every few minutes, counts down from about 20 seconds then stops.<br /><br />Has anyone seen this before?<br />Thank you<br />]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[This Topic\Issue applies to those who access the Internet via WIFI & Laptop through a Wireless Router.<br />This may or may not work or be applicable to those who are hard-wired or run on desktop machines.<br /><br />Examples based off of:<br />D-Link DI-524 Wireless-G Router<br />Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG WIFI Card<br /><br />Check your Router Settings.<br />BEACON INTERVAL (default: 100ms) - Set this to a higher ms to reduce how much air-bandwidth(per se) is used for beacon broadcasts. 500 to 750 is a good test setting. Adjust as necessary until you find a good stable setting.<br /><br />PREAMBLE TYPE (default: short preamble) - If you have problems communicating with 802.11b devices, change this to LONG PREAMBLE. If you have problems with transferring large files, change this to SHORT PREAMBLE.<br /><br />WIFI CHANNEL (default: 6) - Set this to 8, 9 or 10 as other frequently used channels of other appliances are 1, 6 and 11. Your WIFI card will detect this automatically.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Changes that can be made to your Wireless Adapter:<br />(INTEL Wireless Pro in this example)<br /><br />Mixed Mode Protection:<br />(CTS-to-self Enabled or RTS/CTS)<br />This setting can be used to avoid data collisions in a mixed 11b/11g environment. RTS/CTS should be used in an environment where clients may not hear each other; CTS-to-self can be used to gain more throughput in an environment where clients are in close proximity and can hear each other.<br /><br />Power Management:<br />Intel Wireless Pro WIFI cards should have this setting at HIGHEST level (meaning, highest performance\lowest battery life) - setting this lower will reduce your WIFI range, thus your connection stability.<br /><br />Transmit Power:<br />Intel Wireless Pro WIFI cards should have this setting at HIGHEST level. - setting this lower will reduce your wifi range, thus your connection stability.<br /><br />Wireless Mode:<br />Intel Wireless Pro WIFI cards should be set to the highest band supported by both your router and your wifi card. If you have a 802.11b router, your 802.11g will only and SHOULD ONLY run on 802.11b - your WIFI card is backwards compatible with older routers. Using a Wireless G Wifi Card and an 802.11b router will only help maintain a more stable and consistent 11mb/s data rate; but having a 802.11g router will ultimately help your DL/UL speeds.<br /><br />Preferred Band:<br />If you have a Wireless-G router and an Wireless-G Wifi Card, setting your preferred band to 802.11g only will maintain your connection at 802.11g in a mixed 802.11b/g environment.<br /><br /><br />That's all I have for now on tweaking router performance; hopefully this might solve some random disconnect issues, but if it doesn't, at least you tried some other ideas.<br />]]></description>
