hes first season with lfc down the drain.
Also remindes me of the EC in 92. But that time the socks didn't cover up the bone sticking out of the leg. I cant remember hes name but I think he played for Denmark, the thing I won't remember was the Ref's face when he saw the bone, and the screams coming from the player.

being a liverpool and football fan that i am, instantly the henrik larsson incident came into my mind and a spine tingeling shiver

now having played blackburn in two years and lost 3 players to leg/ankle breakages how about we dont play them any more??

im so gutted atm that hes out injured lets hope milan baros finds the net now

oh man... took me a while to notice what the picture was trying to show me. ouch-a-rooooni! that just makes my skin... and bones, crawl...

i smashed my itty-bitty thumby-wumby with a huge forklift tire today. got that dull, annoying "throb" going on. with what looks to be a[nother] nice blood-blister forming underneath the nail. but seeing this guy's plight... oh man... don't make me think about it again... lol

True but if you think about what happened to Vicarrah's father-in-law, it's the kind of injury which can not only ruin your football career but any kind of career.

Similar sort of injury (knee not shin though) put my wife's dad out of the game.
He's now in his 50s, retired due to ill health (permanent crutches, surgical steel from hip to ankle, lack of fitness etc. etc), and he'll eventually have to have the leg off.

nasty nasty nasty game.

As a Celtic fan, it immediately reminded me of the leg break Henirk Larsson sustained in 1999 - almost identical situation and indentical injury. I feel for the man, I really do.

Saying that tho, he will be back in a year or so. If it were to happen to any of the 1000's of amateur footballers in the UK or around the world (including myself), we wouldn't be able to play footy again.....

Yeah that made me cringe, although its not the worse part of the weekend - that was the sodding ref at arsenal playing 4mins of stoppage time...wtf that come from? :(
