Aye,from what I've seen(First DVD so I think its first 6-8 episodes) its brilliant. You know something is good when they dedicate most of the first episode to assasinating the origional creator of the concept :D

My favorite scene in the series is still where Excel's consciensce fights it out (literally) in the first episode...

My only beef with Excel Saga is that the dub is absolutely atrocious. To be honest, they did a better job with Pokemon. Thank god for subtitles.

EVENT HORIZON ... I loved it too. Honestly one of the best sci fi themed movies ever. The guy citing in latin as he ate people was amazing >:) and the whole idea behind the movie. Not precisely a Movie, but a set of series, since someone mentioned Serenty and Firely, was LEXX . I really loved the theme of it, a nice blend of the genre, practically sci-fi for "adults" as someone once placed it. As a side note , there was an extremely AMAZING anime short movie made on space wich sadly I can't recall the name. All I remember from it is about a set of people that goes into a dead ship , and the ship has a "ghost" , what I loved was that the ship debris and the torn out hull when seem from afar turned out to be shaped like a massive giant drifting rose. Candy for the Eye.

Yeah, Event Horizon was awesome. Scared the s*** out of me when I first saw it.

There was this other movie that is set in some post-apocalyptic London with a lot of mist I think and there is some kind of monster killing some prostitutes aaaand.... the monster dies when the hero tears out it's beating heart and shoots it.... or... something like that. What was that called again? I liked that.

The matrix concept is gods in discuse if you can see beyound the cool effects and some of the rather cheasy place (the non-MMORPG games and some of the lines in the movie) that you know is just cartoon style... It ahs a million layers and have a few points that many people can't see...
Spaceballs: The Movie is just a great comic...
But hichhikers guide to teh galaxy is a shadow of the tale of the book I hold in my hand... (Look for project marvin soon... In-game that is) Look for the Ultimate Hichhikers guide book in English for the biggest and longste laugh of your life... (think omgraw but like an hole wierd 800 page series of connected books)

Starship Troopers is fun and the destruction and satire is cool but it's ultimately a bit too cheesy for me.

There have only been three non-cartoon-style (aka Not Pixar/Dreamworks) full CGI movies that have been made, at least that I know of.

One was Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, which sucked.

Another was Advent Children, which was vastly overrated, and I couldn't stand.

And in between was Appleseed, the most badass scifi movie ever created. Mobile suits, tanks, gatling turrets, machine guns, mobile artillery platforms... and an actual story to go with it all.

All in full CGI.

Gattica was good.

2001 very good.

Recently watched the hitchikers guide which was done very well and does do homage to the original seris, never read books but im sure they didnt do bad with this film.
