People like the OP are indeed what sets EVE apart from run of the mill MMORPG's with their 'play nice policy''s. Losing even one player entirely dedicated to lying, stealing and scamming would feel as a loss to the unique atmosphere of EVE. Especially now that the Lofty has been nerfed.

Riethe is currently displaying the symptoms of pressing the money cheat code in eve. I'm sure everyone has experienced this in other games, you start buying everything, and then get bored and quit.

The best way for a bank robber to get away with it is to pretend to be dead. Just like this, Riethe wants people to think he left the game, but in fact he is not. API keys could risk exposing who his main is. Especially when people have a list of a few suspected characters that they beleive are his main.

I state the lottry is a hoax because he lied about Reithe being his main in this thread, it was revealed on page 9 that Reithe is actually a alt and not his main at all.

I state he had not got 330bil because he has only 40bil in his wallet. The reast is phantom money used to divert peoples attention. This is very common to people who understand social engineering.

I state he refuses to use a raffle system that would put winners outside of his control. This is because teh raffle is a hoax and he has no plans on giving his true 40bil wealth to random eve players. The money will go to his main characters

This thread is a hoax and a ploy so the OP can trick people into thinking that he has left. This is the third FREE lottry that was used by scammers as a ploy. NOT FOR PROFIT, but as a PLOY. Currin's lottry - remember that? Remember how people came to defend it since it was "Free"? Turns out it was a Ploy all along to trick the eve public when he finally admitted it. I can go on and on, but here is solution.

1. Have a Third party such as Chribba Verify he has 330bil. If not, then its a hoax/ploy
2. Have raffle winning tickets selction outside the scope of him picking tickets.

Doing the above is 100% proof he is genuine, and anybody genuinly leaving the game has no problems with that. Hassle factor is non-existant as well (just send limited API key to Chribba or make it public so anyone can run wallet checker app on it. Limited api key only sends skills and Wallet status)

Well from going over the OP's history and reading all his anecdotes, I find him to be a very intelligent and interesting person. This is a sandbox game and the mechanics do very much allow anyone with an "outside the box" frame of mind to manipulate or observe it as a social experiment.

Whether people realize it or not, Riethe and people like him have affected many of us in a positive way. Some of us are more cautious and less trustworthy, as we should be, and have become smarter players & benefited in Eve because of it. Some of us have tried to mimic their success, even if we won't admit it on our mains, and have become richer and more successful in Eve because of it. Subconsciously we may even be more circumspect, less naive and better learn from our mistakes in our real lives and someday benefit because of it.

Fortunately we can't practice these same methods in real life with the same lack of implications that exists in the world of Eve. In the end this is a game, and I can not think of anyone as a terrible vindictive monster void of ethics & moral values because of something they do here; they are simply the better player without breaking the rules. What else is there to say? Checkmate? Few people can ever truly affect the world around them, even in a game. Congrats & I wish you the best whether you continue on your journey in Eve or not.

The OP lied by saying it was his main. The OP is actually a Alt as confirmed in post 258.

Second, OP refuses to let Chribba or any trusted third party verify his isk. He has 40bil, not 330bil. The OP is a alt and has already been caught lying about saying that this is his main. The OP is not going to give you any isk at all. This lottery is a troll sham. Nobody will lose any isk, it exists to make fools of you and also to allow easy transfer of isk to his main.

API keys means that people can reveal his main if they see that bundle of isk flow. Thats why he has this raffle. He will rig it so his main wins and no questions get asked. (and perhaps a random or two for fake prizes etc, mayby a real person for a small sum as well to throw people off the scent).

THINK.

1. He refuses to give out API key for us to check or even allow a third party like chribba to verify he has the isk.
2. He refuses to have a Guarenteed unrigged raffle by baising winning tickets on real life numbers (e.g winning raffle ticket being a real life number, such as last "x" number of digits on a stock exchange etc etc. Even if the number does not turn up, roll over for next day until someone wins)

This is the third fake lottry/raffle. All were free. All were later admited to be scams. All had same number of people asking for isk.

Just stop and think. If Riethe agree's to points 1 and 2, then he is not running a sham raffle. Otherwise he joins the likes of cally, macro and many others in creating fake lotto's

1. Basing the raffe on real life numbers such as stock market index's, or last 3 or 4 digits of currency fractions? (i.e You have no control over who wins)?

Because if you dont, then you are doing the same as what the other scammers did in their free lottry. I.E Hoax lottery to acheive objective, in your case, care free transfer of 40bil you did scam directly to your main. Yes your real main due to api keys in corp, someone can connect you to Rethe, and this lottry is perfect cover.

Options 1 and 2 are perfectly fine if you are genuinly giving your wealth away. There is NO reason why you would not want to do this unless the raffle is rigged for the reasons I mentioned earlier.

Look at the last 2 free lotterys run by scammers. They were rigged lottry's but free lottries. Heck, even Cally let a random win a small amount to throw people off the scent. Remember cally admitted this after he revealed that the whole thing was a scam. Cally's thread was full of people like this thread, as was macro media's one.

In the days of API keys required for corps/alliances, the OP simply wants to retire with his wealth on his main characters. He cannot direct transfer this wealth without creting problems that could reveal his main.

So the simple solution is to run a fake raffle, hype it up and have his main win key prizes ( and perhaps a odd random win a lower prize so people do not think its rigged). This way his main can keep the wealth without any questions being asked.

If the OP is 100% honest, then insted of a raffle, he should give the isk to, say, Chribba to hold (so Chribba can prove he has 330bil) and then run raffles. The winning raffle ticket will be one baised on, say, the last 3 or 4 digits of a stock exchange or currency fraction on the end of a given day. These are impossible for eve players to control. If the number does not come up, then it rolls over to the next day until someone wins it.

Any other lottery system, and the OP is running a rigged raffle just like many scammers before him to launder wealth to his main char without risking revealing him. Nobody wins apart from the OP and nobody losses. This is nothing new and has been done before

Reading about this kind of thing is one of the factors that brought me to this game. I regret that I never got into it, or pvp, or really into alliance stuff. I feel limited in a limitless game, and the limits are self-imposed. But if I had that kind of money, I could be a bit more reckless and worry less about consequences....

At that, I recommend you do that very thing I am unable to. Go completely bat-**** insane all across EVE, blowing up everything in your path! Go down in a blazing lightshow of ISK burning glory! If you managed to scam that much, go out in style!

Why do I deserve the 3.5b? The funds would not go to my own use, but to the Faction Warfare and those who server in the Minmatar Militia. With these funds, I would secure and fit numerous Cruisers, battlecruisers, frigates and maybe a battleship or two for the militia, supplied in our base of operations in lowsec as to ease the need to head to highsec to grab the ships, allowing negative security militia members to be supplied these ships. There will be no bias.

The battleships would be T2 fitted and given to the most skilled and known FCs of the Minmatar Faction, while cruisers, frigs and battlecruisers will be given to those who need them or lost an equivalent ship in battle.

Any leftover funds would be put into pocket for funding my personal frig/cruiser/battlecruiser fleet for use in the faction warfare

Regardless of whether or not this raffle is a scam (which I doubt it is, but for the point of this post that doesn't matter), if what you say is true about scamming 330 billion ISK out of the EVE populace's wallet, then I've got to say congratulations. It's a pleasure to see the game played from all possible angles, and to actually see someone who's good at the more sneaky side of the game rather than the "I shoot you now" side of the game.

If you're leaving, it's a shame to see a good player go, Riethe, but at least you had your fun, and you know that you completed your goals in the game.
