      <description><![CDATA[we already have 24523434636 t1 ships in game. Why make more? What new fresh balanced roles and specialties would they bring to the table? Sorry, but there are plenty of ships right now that fill a lot of roles. <br /><br />I looked at your ideas in the linked thread, and instead of wanting every race to have a ship that does everything why not learn the roles of the ships that are in the game now and using the right race/ship for the role you like?       <description><![CDATA[The idea came about that planetary defense systems would deal massive AOE damage to orbital targets, but the system can only task one gun per target. So as more targets became avilable, the more aoe damage they did. One or two dreads can tank the damage easily start shoving 5 of them and your going to start losing ships. hence the juggers where supposed to reduce the number of targets and increase the amount of firepower so you can tank the damage with 4 juggernatus and do the job of 12 dreads without losing them thus allowing support fire for any ground troops that need planetary strikes on demand and help the ground forces take out the planetary defenses and critical locations.       <description><![CDATA[We have enough freaking ships to provide specialization to every game mechanic.<br /><br />Until we get new game mechanics , any new ship will just be a small variation on an already existing ship.<br /><br />I personally would like to see new game mechanics whereby ships that receive hull damage see various systems go offline at random (propulsion/warp, locking ability, shooting ability)<br /><br />That would certainly give a boost to logistics uses and specialized modules to bring these systems back online, as well as the specialized tractor beam to pull these disabled ships out of the battle to a safespot.<br /><br />But I suppose more people want the Second Life meets Eve Ambulation crap<br />]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Dont think new ships is the main thing EVE needs, but I think logistics BS, Ewar dessie and/or BC, Ewar BS would all be good, think Faction BCs with a role woudl be good as well.<br /><br />Gang 'lecky support ships, designed to counter other races E-war, e.g. bonuses to remote sensor boosting for Caldari, remote ECCM for Gallente, remote tracking for Minmatar and remote Sig-radius-reducer for Ammar. This could be BC / BS sized faction / T1 / T2, possibly also able to fit a remote WCS to get ships out of the fight (I know its a bit lame but it allows other ships than nanos to escape a fight - stealth nerf).<br /><center><img src="http://deusdiablo.com/hosted/Andreus/EVE/Signatures/Mentalmonkey_sig.jpg" border=0></center>]]></description>

Or new designs all together, or maybe melded ships (like the factions ones only more useable) say amarr and caldari hybrid and a lente min hybrid for now. You could even through in the excuss of war bringing research teams in to create better suited warships or logistic needs. That would even explain why it took so long to come out with these new t1 ships<br /><br />O o o another fun one would be a light assualt capital ship. General set up would be like this<br />5/7/5 for shield 5/5/7 for armor. bonuses to tracking/missle velocity, bonuses to ROF, use of cap size weapons, damage bonus<br />There would be specifically for taking donw other cap ships and battleships. They would also be small enought to use gates while still having a jump drive. Also due to its compactness new Small Capital rep and boost mods will be needed (so they cant WTF Pwn tank everythign like carriers do)<br />]]></description>

Theres different "empires" and they all have various designs of their own, not just 4. <br /><br /> The assortment of designs represents the difference in tech over various time frames. Also it represents the fact that there are multiple companies producing their own designs within each empire. All looking to have the best Mech for the weight class for its empire. Not to mention neutral companies selling to anyone that has the money.<br /><br /> Adding new designs wouldn't destroy the game. It would simply give us more variation in Eve. It would give those of us around for a while new things to try out and coming up with your own set ups is part of the fun of eve. Unless of course you just cut and paste someone else's effort like im sure a lot of you do.       <description><![CDATA[A change/addition to the T1 ships would be nice for those of us who will never be able to afford the majority of the more specialised ships that have been added recently if nothing else.       <description><![CDATA[How 'bout a whole new class of rigs that would enable a mad scientist/pilot to switch a turret slot for a launcher slot and vice-versa?<br /><br />Or being able to install a rig that takes a med slot and makes it a low slot?<br /><br />That way the customizable aspect of ship outfitting increases geometrically. <br /><br />I like the OP's ideas, but cross-training other races' ships is the route to go when you want to branch out to different types of warfare.. <br /><br />Not being able to fit a couple of (your favorite weapon here) on (whatever race) ships seems a bit unrealistic given the advanced technologies that exist throughout Eve.<br /><br /><br /><br />]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Considering that there are plenty of open roles that ships can have and some of them would need to be T2 but having the same hulls for T2 over and over again is boring, more T1 hulls are greatly needed.<br /><br />Here a blurb of some ideas:<br />Electronic Support ships (against the opposing faction's EWar)<br />Anti-Faction Ships (counter some of the opposing attack options)<br /> - Caldari: Anti-Drone<br /> - Gallente: Anti-Missile<br /> - Amarr: Anti-Speed<br /> - Minmatar: Anti-Nos/Neut<br />Smartbomb Specialists<br />Larger or different Non-ORE Mining ships<br />Exploration Specialized ships, maybe distinguished by faction in signature type<br />Actually with Factional Warfare the different factions could be made more significantly different in their means to achieve the same goal.<br />Ships specifically designed to support capital ships.<br />With Ambulation Party Ships and Wandering Circuses or Mobile Casinos.<br /><br />Fact is, that there is a *LOT* that could be added, both in T1 and T2 and new hulls for the new content is something that should come naturally to a prime product. <img src=http://myeve.eve-online.com/bitmaps/img/board_smilies/icon_wink.gif border=0 width=15 align=middle alt='Wink'><br /><br />--------<br />Ideas for: <a href="http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=677923" target="_blank">Mining</a>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I'd take another tech 1 BC please. Maybe EW?<br /><br />I'm tired of CCP only adding high end t2 ships, with the requirements near a cap to fly. So the majority doesn't even care when things like that are added.<br /><br />Adding ships that a large portion of the playerbase can fly is a good idea.<br /><br />I think CCP has gotten lazy...haven't seen any new ship models in ages. Just redone t1 models for t2 ships.<br />]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[So many players are cross-training so why not have a range of crossbreed ships. Amarr shield tankers and Caldari armor tankers for example. The balance is with the cap, so the cap is increased for Caldari so they have extra for an armor tank and lowered for the Amarr ship since a passive tank is possible for shields. Weapons are still the same so I'd guess the cap would be about equal since the Amarr ship would still need cap for the weapons and the Caldari would need it for the tank. <br /><br />Since I don't really fly Galente or Minmatar I couldnt say how to crossbreed them, maybe weapons.<br />--<br />There's a simple difference between kinky and perverted. Kinky is using a feather to get her in the mood. Perverted is using the whole chicken.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I want something that actually uses the advanced spaceship command skill.<br /><br />a whole skills jsut for one goddamn shiptype (freighter) and as timesink is useless.<br /><br /><br />give us 3 different types of advanced spaceships right between caps and bs.<br /><br />something like a capital siced destroyer (would be the equivalent to frigs; cap guns with tracking bonus so they can hit bs and a bs sized tank. a medium sized ship which is in generall a bs MK2 but costs more and is even less agile and easily hitable by real cap guns (cruiser equivalent) and a capital-hunter ship (prolly with a weaker 2-5 minute timed siege mode).<br /><br />ohh and to not make them not replace BS for fleets only the capital hunter (with guns whicha r eunable to really do damage to supcaps) should be able to use gates while the rest has to utilize a jump-engine as well (but with bigger range than even carrier as they should be more agile than caps).<br /><img src="http://tinyurl.com/5za9ou" border=0>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[It does seem odd to me that there are no tier two destroyers.<br /><br />I would like to see more of them, especially now there are the faction warfare complexes where destroyers get to be the big fish.<br /><br />A possible sugestion as to a bonus for them: Smart bomb range; smart bombs are best as an anti frigate weapon, the main role for destroyers is that of anti frigates.<br />And small smartbombs would need a LOT of loving to be useful. Such as a specialised ship class.<br />]]></description>

Currently there is no anti-missile ewar. It is pretty biased that you can wtfpwn a turret ship with 1-2 TDs but missiles no way. I don't actually even know when they were added. So, hardly a recent thing.<br /><br /><br />The last big batch of tech 1 ships came at the end of the fall of 2006 with Revelations I (right when I started), and that was the tier 2 battlecruisers and tier 3 battleships. Trinity, at the end of last year, gave us a big batch of new tech 2 ships.       <description><![CDATA[<br /><br /> I'm not sure where you could start with new t1 ships. I'm sure I could give it a minute and come up with stuff. I fly caldari mainly and I gotta say that I hate how the caracal has no tank while the moa does. So a caracal where its bonus is in its tank in some form or another would be cool.<br /><br /> The ships don't have to exactly be tier 4 so that they are "better" then 1-3, just a variation. Look at how many versions car companies put out of the same car. Theres typically 3 versions with slight differences. Then you have the competition putting out their car with its variations. both cars would be equal in price(basically) and the variations would also have slightly different costs.<br /><br /> the standard caracal would be the base model. there could be a model built for speed and another built with more of a tank. <br /><br /> That is of course in addition to different ships altogether. I don't know how many BattleTech fans play Eve but those that do know we have books full of Mech designs. Those books are broken down to 4 weight classes. Theres different "empires" and they all have various designs of their own, not just 4. <br /><br /> The assortment of designs represents the difference in tech over various time frames. Also it represents the fact that there are multiple companies producing their own designs within each empire. All looking to have the best Mech for the weight class for its empire. Not to mention neutral companies selling to anyone that has the money.<br /><br /> Adding new designs wouldn't destroy the game. It would simply give us more variation in Eve. It would give those of us around for a while new things to try out and coming up with your own set ups is part of the fun of eve. Unless of course you just cut and paste someone else's effort like im sure a lot of you do. Those of us that like the constant tweaking and tinkering would obviously welcome additional t1 ships.<br /><br /><br /> i could go on about this but <br />./agree with the OP.<br />]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[The only combat ships I think need adding are T2 Abaddons, Hypes, Maels and Rokhs. There is so much versatility in any one race's combat fleet [T1 and T2 combined] that even these ships would just be nice additions to round the racial fleets out, and not necessary for any balance issues.<br /><br />T1 is spent, T2 is essentially complete. They're looking to expand industrial fleets [Orca, Small Freigter] before looking at moar pew ships. This is something I agree with - not every new ship can be a terrifying weapon of pown, some must be weapons of roidage.<br />]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I would say yes. Variations are always welcome and T1 ships are the ones anyone with a few skills can fly. They are also cheap, and good for PVP since the insurance means you don't lose a great deal. Not faction variants but more cheap T1 basic ships to get more people into PVP.<br /><br />T2 are specialised, skill intensive and very expensive to replace. Faction ships are just very expensive and similar to T2 in isurance loss. PVP in these are really for the elite players who have plenty of isk to throw around.<br /><br />--<br />Sig design in training: Remaining time 30 years 20 days, 4 hours, 10 mins, 15 seconds.]]></description>

The thing is by design T1 ships are pretty standard and really can't be specialized. So adding more T1 ships will just wind up with slight changes to already existing thips.       <description><![CDATA[There have been at least three expansions (EA, Trinity, Revelations II) since we have gotten an new tech 1 combat ships. We have gotten many new tech 2 ships since then, but as with all tech 2 ships, they are very skill intensive and pricey.<br /><br />So this brings me to my point: does the Eve community want new T1 ships?<br /><br />I know that I have wanted more tech 1 hulls for a long time. I have also spent a lot of time developing my ideas as to what ships I think could be beneficial to the game.
