Getting it to L4 takes what, 2 days or so, but provides ALL your light and med drones with 20% more firepower... heck, getting it to L3 (less than a day) is still a 15% increase.
If you're mainly using light/med drones, you're MUCH better off training Combat Drone Op from zero to L3 than just Drone Interfacing from L2 to L3 (which actually gets you just a 1.6/1.4 = 14.28% increase in firepower, compared to the 15%), and it even takes less time.
