It wasnt a rorqual. It was this thing. I dont know, huge, like a naught. It was a greyish color, all mottled and leathery looking. It was eating the rocks. I swear it. It was just there, its mouth as open and massive, literally swallowing the rocks whole, as it slowly cruised through the belt. We watched for a moment not sure what to do when Fned noticed three smaller things like the big one moving near a veldspar rock. He made a run at them, using his blasters to pepper them with fire.

The prisoner shook visibly.

The big one responded by coming at us. I swear Ive never seen something so big move so fast. Suddenly it turned and then it was filling the viewscreen, getting so big. That mouth opening as it closed on Fned. Then he was gonejust gone. The little ones seemed to latch onto the big one as it turned towards the rest of us, so we all opened fire. I still dont know what happened. My ship suddenly lost all power, like it was being hit by a nos. Serno and Whiff also went dead the same way. It went for the bigger ships first, maybe it saw them as more of a threat? I dunno. It rammed into Jakos carrier, then it it opened its mouth and took out the prow of the ship. I swear! The front of the ship gone in one bite!! It ate it!! Then it just lazily flew around ignoring our missiles and guns, eating us!! That mouth!! Opening and closing!! The screams! I can still hear them! Swallowed alive! God why did it spare me

The prisoner broke down to weeping in his chair.

The Amarrian turned off the screen.

As you can all see, we have a problem. They are getting bolder and moving in closer. If they start cropping up in any of the empires we will have to go public.

A Caldari naval intelligence officer spoke up. We find their spawning ground and wipe them out.

A couple of the assembled nodded in agreement.

She shook her head.

We know that trying such an action is going to cost us dearly. They are highly resistant to damage and obviously able to defend themselves. Perhaps more intel on their habits and what it is exactly that is driving them inwards is needed. We need to send someone to gather more intel. Someone no one is going to be too annoyed with as they ask questions.

I take it you have someone in mind?

She smiled slowly.

Indeed I do.

Nonni I, Caldari Navy Assembly Plant

The agent entered the bar and looked around. He saw his target sitting alone at a table towards the back, nursing a small drink, a plate of half eaten food in front of him. The agent made is way over and slid into the seat opposite the target. The target immediately looked up, nervous.

Youre a difficult man to find. We have an assignment for you. We need more information on them. We are willing to pay quite well for the info.

The target looked around hesitantly, as if any moment someone was going to suddenly grab him and haul him away for something.

Well, Dr. Nore? Are you interested? They are out there and they are coming closer. We need answers and youre our best source for those answers.

Gweee blinked and nodded quickly.

------------------------
CEO
Walks Forever Trade Inc

Location Unknown

peat, this is Omega Three. We are three light minutes out of station at belt six-alpha. We have encountered something in the belt. Scans show capital class starship in the belt with multiple smaller ships. Possible mining raid by rival alliance. Requesting permission to take in my attack wing. Repeat, this is Omega Three. We are

The room that the recording was playing in was dark, with small lights inset in the table above perscom units providing little illumination except for shadowed faces of the people sitting there.

There were six of them in total, four male and two females. Four Caldari and 2 Armarrian. The representatives from the Gallente and Minmatar had not bothered to show, but considering the current hostilities, that wasnt surprising.

One of the women, an Amarrian bio-physicist, shut off the recording and leaned back in her chair, the light shifting to illuminate merely her elaborate robes.

This was picked up from one of the null-sec systems in Branch, by one of our deep range scouts. All communication with the area went dead several minutes later. The scout waited an hour then moved in. He found wreckage all through the belt, enough for several ships.

At first we merely thought it was one of the rarer incursions of SC-01, but two days later we caught this transmission from one of the null-sec systems in Venal.

She touched her perscomm.

..ing all allied vessels. Incursion in belt three, we have capitals in the belt. Get some jammers in here fast!

This is Erik, Ive just left the station with my carrier. Flight decks are prepped for battle. I am five light minutes out. Orian and Kera are also undocking now with their naughts, and a wing of assault ships are inbound from the gate. Can you hold? Repeat, can you hold?

Illa here, I think we can. We are entering the belt now. I have the invaders on scan and visua. What the HELL?!?!

Illa!! ??!!! what is it?? Class and numbers?? ILLA!! Answer me! Which alliance is invading!!?

.<static>..nd of jamm<static> ing. Massive, like a liv. <static> ..ught. Send everythi. <static>. at!!! Se <static> hing!!

This is commander Orian. All combat wings converge on belt three and engage hostiles.

The woman shut off the recording.

We sent in several scouts, but the area was already swarming with a rival alliance. Scans did detect the presence of debris from SC-01 in belt three. Once again while we were concerned, it was still a null-sec area. Then this occurred.

She once again touched the perscomm.

The rooms screen lit up showing a small interrogation room. A small metal table at which a dishevelled man sat was the cameras focus. He was unshaven, wearing a standard Caldari prison uniform.

A voice comes from off camera.

State your name and association.

Wornik, Hiemdell corporation.

Note for the record that the Hiemdell corporation operates out of Tartoken system in Lonetrek Region of the Caldari space.

Continue, Wornik

We control the system, well mostly. We skirmish with a number of other small corps here and there. Couple weeks back we got hit hard by Band of Brothers as they started up their Max Age campaign. We lost a lot of ships, all but one of our stations, but managed to hold on. They headed back out to null-sec and we started to rebuild. About three days after the last of their ships had left we picked up a blip in one of the asteroid belts. We figured it was a BoB rorqual doing mining. So we gathered our ships and maybe a run. We were all pretty much gun happy to be blasting someone again after the beating BoB handed us.

The prisoner took a sip from a cup of water.

------------------------
CEO
Walks Forever Trade Inc
