1. Nividia and Amd currently both work nicely with wine? - in Linux [original thread]
Both work. What I hear is that nvidia with the noveau drivers suck, but I'm not an nvidia user so I cant confirm this completely. On AMD, if with current hardware it should run. Id recommend stay off the APU's, since it happened with my old model ...

I checked the other day my kernet and I am at 4.8.0.54.generic. I remember you told me that it was best to have LLVM at 4 something. On this install its at 3.8.0. I found a step by step guide on how to do the nine thing on 16.04, so I'll be test...

Thanks for the reply. I actually went and decided to go install 16.04 LTS and after doing 3 separate installs in different hard drives / SSD's, I got this one to work and I forgot to reply here about it. I find confusing that the AMD GPU's arent...

So, the long story first? My motherboard died, but I had a replica on a 2nd machine with a lower quality apu (dual core vs my quad core). I also went ahead and bought a RX460 4GB, thinking for the future since my APU is no longer supported in 16.0...

I personally have never upgraded my Ubuntu distro... as long as it works I stay on the same one. If for some reason I need to upgrade, I back up and nuke my installation and start from scratch. Im using Wine 2.4staging and its working good for me...

From a terminal I usually launch it with: (while being on the same folder) ./evelauncher.sh After all is installed, to execute the launcher to play then I do ALT + F2 (Run application) and: evelauncher/evelauncher.sh Hope it helps...

After some fiddling around and googling.... seems that they decided to drop support for my APU on 16.04.2 :( Therefore thats why I dont have the option to load neither the default gallium nor the propietary. I guess that means back to 15.04...
