161. Mining Yield Calculation - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Edited by: Caedicus on 09/10/2006 22:29:47 Originally by: Darrx There's also an important consideration here--if mining Arkanor, for instance, it's better to use two lasers with a yield of 32 per laser than three with a yield of 20 per...

163. Mining Yield Calculation - in Science and Industry [original thread]
I'm writing a program that involves calculating laser mining yield based on all possible attributes. I'm using the following calculation, can experienced miners verify this algorithm? skill multiplier=(1+.05*mining)*(1+.05*astro)*(1+.02*foremanLv...

164. Hi-Sec Omber - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Are there .5+ systems that actaully still have a reasonable amount of omber by the end of the week? I think it's totally unfair to people who can only play during the weekends to replenish the asteroids once a week on monday. By thursday/friday a...

165. The lousy customer support of EVE online - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
If you didn't want this to turn into a flamefest, then don't post flamebait. Saying CCP has "the worse CS departments in MMO history" is just plain ignorant. Have you played every single MMO that has ever existed? Didn't think so. That google com...

167. Mining Questions - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I know there really isn't much point in doing this, but can you mine normal asteroids with ice harvesting lasers? I'm doubting you can. Also, can you mine non-mercoxit asteroids with deep core mining lasers?

168. Ship veterancy - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
No, we want people to throw more ships into battles without fearing loss, not less. If ships became valuable enough, then people will refuse to take them to battle. Here's what would happen to people who had ships that become really powerful: -Pe...

169. Formations - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
Formations aren't of tactial use...yet. But CCP definately plans to slice up the blob warfare, with AoE, reducing range, or some sort of mechanism. Which in that case, formations will become of great use.

Yeah, one of the dev blogs mentioned the possiblity of adding formations. There's a decent chance that they will come in Kali, but you can never be sure. I really want formations though.

171. Ships degrade over time - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
Originally by: Darksaber64x The dozens of extra bits in the code would be it's "used" factor. As it stands now, it simply states that "There is 5 item 1003s in Darksaber's hangar" and that's all that needs to be said. If you can repacka...

Edited by: Caedicus on 28/09/2006 21:15:47 Originally by: Darksaber64x I for one wouldn't want to buy a "used" ship off the market, the current market set-up wouldn't allow for it. Plus ship stacking would be a PAIN in the butt. Rep...
