But there would be no reason not to want assistance from the gate guns. All that would do is make low sec seem even more daunting than it already does, actually lowering the number of easy ganks which are what you obviously actually want.

If you want to fly a stabber fit at least 220s and maybe assault launchers. It's been a while but with good fitting skills I wanna say you can fit 425s and use it like a baby vagabond. You will want t2 guns though, for barrage.

A Vexor should handle anything up to the higher end low sec plexes just fine, I used to do anything up to Phi-outposts in one, though I wasn't using it to probe. You'll have a hard time pinning down good stuff without really good probing skills.

Play Orbiter. Eve's servers can't handle realistic physics. And as a side note, as large as our ships are in Eve, they could very easily have flywheel gyros rather than thrusters, and magical warp drive drag slows us down just fine.
