41. Mac Client won't start after Dominion Patch - in Macintosh [original thread]
Yes, extra HD required (or a partition on your existing one). External HD costs what? 2 Months of EvE subscription? Functionality = awesome. Time Machine is very regularly very useful to me. I'm not saying it's the solution - we still want CCP t...

44. Hacker: Snow Leopard less secure than Windows - in Out of Pod Experience [original thread]
The above mentioned iPhone bug also existed in the same way on Google Android phones. But, to their credit, Google fixed it in about 1 day, it took Apple over 2 weeks.

45. Hacker: Snow Leopard less secure than Windows - in Out of Pod Experience [original thread]
The biggest security weakness faced by any system is its users. If the users are incompetent, easily fooled or plain stupid, that system will be more vulnerable. This is why there are more viruses/trojans for Windows ;)

46. Patch not working - in Macintosh [original thread]
Originally by: Serpents smile FYI, TG made great progress on the Cider client concerning EVE.[/quote Totally agree. The Mac client has come on massively in the last few months - it used to be terribly slow and unreliable.

47. Patch not working - in Macintosh [original thread]
Okay - this may help some people who have time machine or another backup system in place. I rolled my Eve Online client back to May 25th, (happens to be version 88974) using Time Machine, then launched it. The Autopatcher downloaded patch 88974-9...

54. Why do pirates podkill? - in Warfare & Tactics [original thread]
Useful answers, ty. Fwiw, I bought expensive Implants as I'm trying to learn skills fast. I don't see that's so bad. They were expensive cos I'm still only doing L2s and I can only play an hour or two a day, (but I can train 24...)

55. Why do pirates podkill? - in Warfare & Tactics [original thread]
Maybe there is a dumb obvious answer to this question, but I do wonder. What benefit is accrued from pod killing? It keeps noobs out of lowsec. I'm only two months into EVE, I'm training as much as I can, I have spent money on a set of +3 implant...
