It depends. If you want to use EW against NPC, then you should know that the sensor strenght of the NPC is equal on all sensor systems, which is contrary to regular players. This means you will need 4 ECM Multispectrals to be able to target jam an...

The ship without a pilot will come up as "derelict". It's reasonable safe to eject out of the ship by a Moon or somesuch, and if you want more safety, go to a moon and then travel for 200km in a specific direction. Don't forget where you left it, ...

If you log off, a ship will disappear after 30 seconds. No such rules apply when you eject from it and leave in a pod, but if you do then anyone can board the ship in their pod if they wish. Ofcourse, with newbie ships, it doesn't matter.
