In all fairness, I think allowing faction and above will give you trouble with ships having great tanks, making fights too long and also opening the possiblity of draws, as some have pointed out.

Train all 4 racial drone specs to II, interfacing 3/4 and combat drone ops 3/4, drone V, scout drone ops V. It's easy if you try. Then just bring 5 medium tech 2 of the right drones for the right mission, might even take 5 lights tech II aswell ...
