182. Anyone else don't like the new gfx-effect for sensor boosters? - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
Edited by: Redundancy on 01/12/2005 16:11:30 They had the incorrect alignment on them, so I've checked in a fix for that. If you still don't like them, give me a poke and I'll take it up with the guy in the art department who torments me by ma...

183. Anyone else don't like the new gfx-effect for sensor boosters? - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
There's still a few glitches in the ported content from the old effects system. How sensor boosting looks is one of them, I'll hopefully have time to look at it as soon as the big bugs are out of the way.

184. Make Sovereignty Useful - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Quote: We're also now able to have structures that will require you to have sovereignty over the system. This opens things up for us to introduce more benefits than just fuel reduction in the future, but some of these things are in the early...

185. TEST patch affects? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Originally by: Aodha Khan Ah, well. Cannot test anything as with 'effects' turned on I crash and I crash...on both clients. Oh, and I know I'm not the only one. There was a bug that caused a lockup in the first release of the new eff...

186. TEST patch affects? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
It wouldn't be much use if we rewrote the effects system to make it faster and it didn't get tested because everyone turned it off anyway. At the very least, we want to see how some larger battles go on Sisi before we make a descision about putti...

187. "Do Not Report" list for Red Moon Rising - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
There may be a client patch later today that resolves a lot of the problems with this that we listed (not some of the missing stuff, that took a back seat to the bugs). I'll be back in on Sunday if there's any more ugly problems.

188. Temporary Suspension of RMR Testing on Singularity - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Originally by: Valar Since the last Singularity update there have been a number of huge changes that could have caused this, the biggest one being the integration of the new effect system. It would not surprise me if that was the cause. ...

189. "Do Not Report" list for Red Moon Rising - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
Logging on to sisi and trying to take part in any situation where there are a lot of effects running will likely just result in client issues at the moment. Warping in : There's a bug that can cause your client to lock up when you warp in, there...

190. "Do Not Report" list for Red Moon Rising - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
Addenda: Missiles are screwy and aren't being cleaned up properly, this will cause a load of errors when they appear to get stuck to your ship. Stargate jumping effect, pod splat and a few others are missing, most combat effects should work fine...

193. Rid of Shield Hardener Graphics - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I'm not exactly sure what's up with shield hardeners on Sisi, but we're approaching the point of integrating the new effect system (with ported and reauthored effects in some cases). Shield hardeners will not stack under the new system, and genera...

194. CCP: time to concentrate on the fundamentals? - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
I thought we'd been quite clear about things like the turrets and effects: I've posted in a few forum threads about them and the rewrites I'm doing, did a presentation and demo of the new stuff at the fanfest, and it's been in dev blogs by Oveur a...

199. Don't optimize Eve to death. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]

200. Don't optimize Eve to death. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
It would cause the fleet battle optimisations to slip, which I know for a fact that Oveur won't go for because they support a whole raft of changes on both the client and server that have to go hand in hand.
