The "AI takeover" concept when player logs off in interesting, though I fail to see a point in having server resources utilized for something that's going to be pointless (as losses are replaced free). Scaling that is another issue. Makes one wond...

Probably, depending on how much they're fixing or can easily fix. I can wait until its first expansion comes out, not really in a hurry here By that time, the core game should be mature enough. SoTS 1 didn't come about as a gem when it first ca...

Hotseat for SoTS? I don't even think it's technically possible, given that the space battles are realtime. So no. Of course Kerberos could probably code it to use auto-resolve, but they'd be gimping a lot of what makes SoTS great. Given the dema...

Depends if you get the POST beep, if you do, it could be monitor cable fault (though very rare). If you don't, reseat your all your memory sticks - try a few times if it doesn't work the first time. Old mobo tend warp a bit.

I'd go as far as to classify SotS 1 as one of the best 4X of this decade following MOO. (sorry, for SotSE fans, Sins just doesn't cut it with its shallow gameplay) Truly unique individual races and techs, random tech discovery (which increases r...
