3. Collaborating with other pilots - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I've been playing for a while now and can complete level 1 missions easily. I have also been trying to infiltrate a Pithi deadspace depot on my own but I can't do it in my Destroyer, and my Cruiser won't go through the acceleration gate which has ...

4. EVE Animated - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I just don't think seeing body movements and facial expressions of a body inside a pod will be dynamic enough. When pilots are interacting I really think they would need to escape the pod or it would be too restrictive. -- moto

5. EVE Animated - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
When I said that the pilot is manifest outside the pod as an android, I didn't mean a metallic artificial-looking robot. I mean an android which appears biological and is recognisable as the pilot (think the human form Cylons in the new Battlestar...

6. EVE Animated - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
@PlugIn Yes you're right - animals or robots can seem to show emotion. But how would this work in an animated interpretation of Eve when two characters were talking to each other? Would the scene continually cut between two (or more) clones floati...

7. EVE Animated - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I think this is a great idea. I would love to see an animated (or acted) interpretation of the Eve Chronicles. With regards to the problem of all the characters being sealed inside pods, well CCP will have to overcome this when they implement walk...

8. Dynamic Jukebox - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I'd love it if the Jukebox was dynamic in the music it played. IOW, if you were exploring a remote asteroid field then the music would be haunting. If there was a possibility of a threat then the music would become a bit more tense. When you enter...

11. Is anything I need stored on my machine? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Hi all I need to rebuild my laptop. Is there anything at all I need to back up from my Eve installation to avoid losing anything? Or is it all stored on the server and all I need to do is install the client and pick up right where I left off? TI...

12. Transgaming "Cider" - possibility of a Mac "port" of Eve? - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Originally by: Jimbob McKracken I realise all the microsoft haters out there will scream "OMFG OpenGl is like uberr rabble" I personally don't claim that OGL is superior to DX. I wouldn't have a clue whether it is or not. It is just mor...

13. Transgaming "Cider" - possibility of a Mac "port" of Eve? - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
I wonder whether Vista will require big changes to Eve? Maybe then CCP will take the opportunity to rewrite the engine in OpenGL so it can be more easily portable to other machines :-)

14. Transgaming "Cider" - possibility of a Mac "port" of Eve? - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Meh, no sound and crappy framerate under CrossOver from what I've read. Think I'll wait and see if CCP are going to use Cider :-)

15. Transgaming "Cider" - possibility of a Mac "port" of Eve? - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Edited by: motorollin83 on 11/02/2007 16:54:16 I have already tried Eve on Crossover as I read somewhere that it works, but it never got past the splash screen so I gave up. Any hints would be appreciated. I would gladly donate to a bounty for...

Ooohhh according to this (translated from Engligh to German c/o Google), a Cider version of Eve has been announced by CCP! If any of the devs are reading this, can they confirm this? -- moto

18. Transgaming "Cider" - possibility of a Mac "port" of Eve? - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Transgaming have announced a product called Cider which takes DirectX/Direct3D games written for Windows and wraps them up in a compatibility layer to allow them to run under Mac OSX on an Intel Mac. I wonder if CCP have looked at this as a poss...

19. Re-trying failed missions - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
I gave up on Worlds Collide last night as my Ibis couldn't get me to the jump gate before the pirates destroyed me (twice). I'm now doing delivery missions and easier combat missions so I can save up for a better ship. Once I've got a better ship,...
