Back in the days when dyspro was king we used to have a bottleneck there as well. Tech changed that for a while, but it seems that stockpiles of Tech have run dry. When we had the dyspro bottleneck, all the prices of other moon minerals were suppressed. Silicates, Evaporite, and Scandium (to name a few) were close to 100 isk. When the bottleneck was lifted those and other minerals all saw an appreciable rise to 1000 or more ISK. If we have a new Tech bottleneck, I suspect that other minerals will soon start to decline in value as a glut of unused materials build up. Most moon minerals are going to decline in value. |

As I pointed out in GD, look at reactions. Technetium is not bottlenecked and frankly I don't blame moon miners for spiking it. The trouble is it costs costs ISK to run reactions moons and it's about time those people got paid too.
300K Technetium sounds good to me. It's an optical price rate to provide profit margins for Industrial investment. |

To quote Akita T in the same thread you're referring to...

To quote me. 7.8 mill/hr isn't quite the road to riches or very "risk versus reward" oriented. |

the point wasn't whether reactions are or are not good money, the point was that you don't get tech at 60% of market value by buying it as platinum technite. |

True enough. My point was lost. If people want to run a reactions POS for 8 mill an hr so I can react 3000 Fullerides? I will pay them 8 mill an Hr. No prob. |

Skydell, you have absolutely no idea what the heck you're talking about.
Skydell wrote:7.8 mill/hr isn't quite the road to riches or very "risk versus reward" oriented. It's not 7.8 mil ISK/hour. It's 5.6 bil ISK/month. On something you have to spend only a handful of hours managing per month if you know your area or "pay for protection" to the locals. It's also something which only requires minimal skills and a modest initial investment compared to profits.
So, no, it's not too little ISK - it's WAY TOO MUCH ISK.
Skydell wrote:the bottleneck isnt in material. It's in BPO's and the inability to price with 50% waste using datacores. The hell it isn't. What you just said would mean that technetium would be NEARLY WORTHLESS, not skyrocketing in price. If this "inability to price" blahblah you spout would have any basis in truth (while paradoxally still keeping tech prices up instead of having them in freefall), almost nobody would be inventing anything, which is patently false. And there's also plenty of ships that don't even have BPOs, by the way. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/User:Akita_T http://eve-search.com/stats/Akita_T |
