Don't get me wrong, I think that this info was awesome. but its not very fare to only let a select few get in and play / test and the rest get the stiff shoulder.
Wormholes need to be fixed so ALL tester on the test server can get the feel of WH space.

As I've already stated, this is mostly a matter of usability and taste. The nebulae and blinking stars need to be optional.
The bright nebulae mess with the controls and windows visibility, therefore they need to be severely toned down or turned off (and by your own argument, any pod pilot would turn them off for that very reason).
Additionally, those of you who like bright fluffy clouds and blinking stars can keep them on, and those of us that like black space with stars as hard points of light can turn them off.
/signed.
Against some background the modules status display become unreadable. And the brightness of some of them make me pan out and turn the camera in the wrong direction, using only the overview to fight. Making us lose information for the sake of a useless and not significant background is not a good idea.

Provided the Wormholes are still around and haven't moved yet, just ask me on TQ and I can get on to Singularity and give you the Bookmarks.

I cant get onto the test server to test this, so I have to ask. Will there be a population count on local? As in will you be able to 'talk' or just put anything, even a dot, in local and then have that tell you how many people are in the same system? If it does is it delayed as well? or is it a live count?

Do we already have an idea what the mass restriction of a whormhole will be like? Enough for a small cap fleet through and back, or will the mass restriction more or less limit expeditions to battleship size?

To be honest, these should infest the asteroids in Empire, people always complain about the minimal risk miners get! this is what they should meet! GIGANTIC **** OFF WORMS that munch their stupid little barges & exhumers if they try to reclaim the minerals stored within.

Here is a good question about the jumping mechanics of wormholes. Can you use them whilst cloaked and not appear on the overview when you get to the other side? Might be an important bit for the devs to think about now that there is no insta local. Personally I would think the 'stress' of wormhole passage would be too much to keep the module running even for a cov ops or recon and could only be activated after a very short 5 second delay on the other side. Would put a salve on the sores of people worried about recon ganks slipping through even a camped wormhole.

No, you still get "You can not jump because you are cloaked" message.
By the way, only one person took me up on t he offer, but by the time they took it up, Singularity was down. And when it came up I am now stranded in wormhole space until probing works.
Also, you still get "gate cloak".
tl;dr Traversing these is just like traversing normal gates.

Fair enough and makes sense from a gameplay perspective with the need to counter lag and all. I still think there should be a very short delay between losing the gate cloak by moving or running the timer out before a cloak can be activated. Another question now would be if there is there a jumping in effect similar to a normal gate for an observer to notice if a ship jumps in?

Yes you can see it. The wormhole glows and moves and stuff. I don't know how to describe it. Also, the movement of the wormhole changes based on how much of the mass has been used up.

We didn't die, you can tank them all without a problem, however they kill fighters and drones with ease, and their AI, quite good ;)
Sounds like taking a bajillion ogre IIs or sentry drones in your carrier/mom might be the way to go.

Don't take my word for it. Predators and prey alike will be enjoying massive scan button spammage. It's just that predators get a slighter edge. But their jobs will be harder. Oh, and this won't be the easy barrel-full-o'-fish some are expecting it to be. |

scan button? i think gankers may be using probes to find prey more than directional scan. although they will probably be spamming that too. |

Very interesting indeed. And lets not forget that while delayed mode in local will make ganking easier, the new rat AI on the other hand will make it alot harder. If your unable to use fast and light ships due to intelligent npcs that will switch fire/focus fire targets they perceive as weak your chances to get to a target and lock him down before he can warp out get lower.
Just imagine that tasty marauder that can barely tank the rats with his faction tank getting jumped by some clever pirates. Only that the rats are sick of failing to break the faction BS tank and instead decide to have a field day with the player pirate(s) comparatively much less tanked ships, who then get doubleteamed by the carebear + rats .
Currently rats help you kill of your target(often even holding him down for you) and you only need to grab the loot and warp out before the whole stage aggroes on you. A change to that mechanic alone will require major rethinking on how to approach targets in those complexes there.
