There appears to be trouble. I undocked in Jita, look around, and EVE crashes every single time. Not sure what causes it, maybe having a container in view or some specific ship.
So now I get 70+ fps on my nVidia 9400 GT video card, but I can't undock
1. Clearing cache did not help 2. Changing shaders/quality to medium from low did not help fix the crash. enabling HDR and object cache didn't do anything either. Normally I play on all low settings with everything disabled.
So now I've undocked and I can't dock
PS. Great performance increase!! Sadly, can't log in to enjoy it.

Are you using LInux by any chance? Tech III cruiser models appear to be crashing the client when running under Wine. Please support: export of settings in editable format

I found a bug if you jump or undock while you have a PI screen up your ship console will not be there when you close the PI screen, thus preventing you from using any modules, the scanner, tactical view, overheat, etc. by clicking in their icons, keyboard shortcuts still work.
I have found that causing a session change/forcing a redraw to occur (docking undocking, jumping, and opening and then closing the PI screen, switching planets without closing the PI screen after undock or jump) will cause it to be visible and useable again.

Failed to patch, attempt to patch with raised privileges, patch again fails. This also happens with the repair tool, etc. |

Confirming this for Orca pilot beeing in same alliance but not same corp. Also I am having issues with accessing cans in space. If they were launched for corporation, noone from alliance neither from corp can drop stuff into them. Also noone from blueboxed corps which are not in the same alliance can drop stuff into any not-owned cans. This si also true for fleet members. They can't either drop anything into not-owned cans. |

I have the same issue. I am in corp and no one can open the hanger in corp or fleet atm.
Although I can open the corp hanger in space as the pilot. |

Process followed: 1. Rename common.ini to common_old.ini 2. Run launcher, launcher tries to run exefile --> exefile errs out because common.ini is missing, asks me to perform repair. 3. Ran repair, repair errs out, but still replaces common.ini (luckily) 4. Run launcher, launcher succesfully launches exefile.

Just like the patch when the launcher was first introduced I can not use the eve repair tool again. Now the reason I tried the repair tool is because when I start eve I download the patch it finishes then it closes and nothing happens. When I try to run eve again the same thing happens (downloads patch then nothing)

Hey at least some of you can get the launcher to actually bloody update, mine wont at all. It just gives me the same error every time I try and update the client, "An error occurred while applying the patch, the launcher will now try to apply the patch safely with raised privileges,"
Click ok and greeted with "Unable to apply patch. restart your PC and run the laucnher again"
Restart PC, same "restart and re-run the launcher" messages.
Run as admin, oh, again, "restart and re run the launcher" messages.
Restart again, run launcher directly in EVE Dir\Launcher\launcer.exe
same error, run as admin, same error...
Any manual patches avaiable? |

Thanks guys.
Latest update - EVE Client on Mac completely screwed - as usual.
Naturally there isn't a 'Repair.exe' so the installation is totally stuffed.
Wish I had not paid another subscription yesterday - what a ripoff.
So now what? Use my entire monthly download quota (and probably take a month to download it) and download the whole thing again - just because you can never, ever, get an upgrade to work properly.
Good night.
Tomorrow I will decide whether to spend hours re-downloading or just skip it and erase the lot. |

Actually, that's exactly what happened for me. After you run repair, and it tries to manually patch, try renaming common.ini to something else, then letting repair replace that. Even if repair errs out, as it did for me, it should still fix common.ini. Then when you run the launcher it will hopefully properly launch the game.
The steps have been detailed earlier in the thread.

Thanks for the reply, done this and got a little further, but...
Now after the "warning client modified, repair me" message, I ran the launcher and it stated "failed to add block" on almost every file, now the evefile.eve just sits at 11mb ram usage and does nothing, even though the launcher says "ready to play"
I'm getting quite annoyed at the moment... |

The point is this is dumb. Some of us have been playing this game for years, and you without fail cannont just patch your game.
If fails in every conceivable way when you try to patch it, I mean, its the same game right, other companies patch games all the time, why is it such a catastrophic clusterfuck any time you try to do ANYTHING to this game?
This patcher? It sucks, its horrible, it fails constantly and we've had to patch the patcher for like 2 months solid.
And it still doesn't work.
How is this possible?
I build houses, if every other house I build didn't have windows and doors that opened I'd be out of a job pretty damn quick, and yet here you sit, botching patch after patch after patch. About 10 a year, and every single one is a different nightmare than the last.
Is it really the case that every other game company on earth has some magical wizard behind a curtain that helps get their patches out or are you people really this bad at your jobs? |

I pull up the corp blueprints tab of the science & industry window and attempt to copy the list of blueprints onto the clipboard and into a spreadsheet. Copy+paste to spreadsheet has me drooling.
I notice that the columns "copy", "ML", "PL", and "Runs" don't make it fully to my spreadsheet. I only get that information for those blueprints that have been visible in the window since the last time the window was refreshed. So if I have more blueprints than are visible in the window, I have to slowly scroll down to the bottom before copying to the clipboard.
Steps to reproduce: Get a corp hangar with dozens of blueprints (50+ should do it) Pull up the corp blueprints tab in science and industry Make sure the table with the blueprints has input focus Hit ctrl+C Paste into a spreadsheet Scroll down far enough, and beyond that point, the Copy, ML, PL, and Runs fields will all be blank.
Workaround: Go back into eve, and slowly scroll the blueprints window to the bottom, so that every blueprint is at some point visible. Copy to clipboard again Paste into the spreadsheet All info is now there.
I imagine the client is only grabbing the info for those columns as it needs it to display them; I'm sure some people have thousands (tens of thousands? hundreds?) of blueprints in some corp hangars and grabbing the ML and PL on each all at once would cause a lag spike like no one's business. Perhaps if someone tries to copy to clipboard, that should trigger a full retrieval of information, at the cost of a lag spike.
I run the PC client. |
