If it's not too hard to implement, can you guys @CCP do me a 'delete bookmark' context menu? Right-click in space, go to bookmarks and instead of choosing wtz, picking 'delete'. Saves us from having to go through the people & places screen every time.... Handy when one uses 'temporary' bm's like npc wrecks, mining cans, etc. --- I'm not as bad-ass as some of my corp mates, but I'll pwn you anyway!

I completely agree. I think it would also be great to have the "Edit Bookmark" function available from a right-click in space menu. This way miss-labled bookmarks could be corrected without going through the people and places lists. ~ Santiago Fahahrri Galactic Geographic |

I have multiple hundreds of bookmarks, my people & places box lags out my whole client. Erasing them would cost me a whole week.

Is there another way to do what I describe above? Deleteing a bm quickly without having to go through a screen that takes up much window real estate? If there is no such function, why not have the feature? --- I'm not as bad-ass as some of my corp mates, but I'll pwn you anyway!

Signed.
2OP: no, now there are none. Maybe with the next update, along with more nerfing for miners :)

Signed - as long as you get one of those "are you sure?" prompts before it is gone for good.
I can see missing the "warp to" option in a laggy battle and deleting the location of a friendly POS.

Yeah, we wouldn't want to delete it instead of warping to it! -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast ! |

Fixing bookmarks is a great idea! As an explorer I use bookmarks alot for many good reasons. Last week the server burped and destoyed the bookmark file. The backup file had all the bookmarks but saved none of the bookmark folders.
With over 5,000 bookmarks it's going to take roughly at least eight hours of focused time to re-organize and with all the bookmarks currently in one folder (the main folder), there's a 40 second or so pause as my interface freezes while the bookmarks are fetched from the server every time I want to edit a single bookmark.
1) Can a backup of the bookmark file (and folders) be saved locally every time Eve is exited that way I only lose the bookmarks from the current session if the server has indigestion?
2) Can a feature be added to sort the bookmarks be alphabetically?
3) An align-to bookmark feature would be a nice addition to the menu. Avoids that pesky warp to camped planet/station/stargate option that is currently available.
4) Nested folders for better bookmark organization. Nested folders would also be a great add-in feature.
For a solo pilot, there should be more options other than warping into a deathtrap.

People like you are the reason they added warp to zero. I don't mean that as an insult. They wanted to get rid of the excessive bookmark libraries people had. It causes problems. I doubt they want to encourage people to make thousands more.
It sucks that you have to reorganize, but maybe you should think about trimming that list down substancially. Seriously, why do you need that many?

Better yet, no folders. Instead let's use tagging. View items by tag instead having to make duplicate bookmarks to place in multiple locations. It's 2009 now. -- autechre - ep7 - track 1: rpeg estevancarlos.com |

a "delete bookmark->confirm" function would be more than welcome...
we often make temporary bookmarks, and erasing them is painful when we have many of them...
Do not try and find the signature... that's impossible. Instead only try to realize the truth... There is no signature. |
