This is a sand box, as I once explained to a new player YOU can do absolutely anything you wish in this game within the rules but you have to accept everyone else can do exactly the same and if you open your mouth and **** off the wrong people consequences will happen.
Consequences that may not fit within your idea of a good time, your ability to control the situation ends with what you do and say, please do not get mad when someone reacts differently than you expected or in a way that pisses on your cheerios, all those people who grabbed the pitchforks and trashed Goonswarm from the "safety" of hisec will find out consequences are a *****.

Sounds like neutral characters to me.
Your previous post implied they would do the ganking with neutrals. They simply stated they'll be using neutral scouts so their targets don't get a heads up before they strike. Using this tactic is called, "not being a complete idiot." Similarly, using this tactic is called "hiding behind an NPC alt" when applied to forum posting. What one person calls "not being a complete idiot", another will call "cowardly". (In before "but you're an NPC alt": No, this is not an alt)
Confirming that this is completely true. It is common knowledge that posting with an npc alt is a prelude to capping other forum readers in the back of the head. |

Seppuku with ritual attire and second (staged)
Warrior about to perform seppuku Seppuku (sêçFà¦?, "stomach-cutting") is a form of Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment. Seppuku was originally reserved only for samurai. Part of the samurai bushido honor code, seppuku was either used voluntarily by samurai to die with honor rather than fall into the hands of their enemies (and likely suffer torture), or as a form of capital punishment for samurai who had committed serious offenses, or performed for other reasons that had brought shame to them. The ceremonial disembowelment, which is usually part of a more elaborate ritual and performed in front of spectators, consists of plunging a short blade, traditionally a tant+ì, into the abdomen and moving the blade from left to right in a slicing motion.[1] Contents [hide] 1 Vocabulary and etymology 2 Overview 3 Ritual 4 Seppuku as capital punishment 5 European witness 6 Seppuku in modern Japan 7 Notable people who performed seppuku 8 See also 9 References 10 External links [edit]Vocabulary and etymology
Seppuku is also known as harakiri (Fà¦sêçpéè, "cutting the belly"), a term more widely familiar outside Japan, and which is written with the same kanji as seppuku, but in reverse order with an okurigana. In Japanese, the more formal seppuku, a Chinese on'yomi reading, is typically used in writing, while harakiri, a native kun'yomi reading, is used in speech. Ross notes, "It is commonly pointed out that hara-kiri is a vulgarism, but this is a misunderstanding. Hara-kiri is a Japanese reading or Kun-yomi of the characters; as it became customary to prefer Chinese readings in official announcements, only the term seppuku was ever used in writing. So hara-kiri is a spoken term and seppuku a written term for the same act."[2] The practice of committing seppuku at the death of one's master, known as oibara (F++Fঠor F++püäFà¦, the kun'yomi or Japanese reading) or tsuifuku (F++Fà¦, the on'yomi or Chinese reading), follows a similar ritual. [edit]Overview
The first recorded act of seppuku was performed by Minamoto no Yorimasa during the Battle of Uji in the year 1180.[3] Seppuku eventually became a key part of bushido, the code of the samurai warriors; it was used by warriors to avoid falling into enemy hands, and to attenuate shame and avoid possible torture. Samurai could also be ordered by their daimyo (feudal lords) to carry out seppuku. Later, disgraced warriors were sometimes allowed to carry out seppuku rather than be executed in the normal manner. The most common form of seppuku for men was composed of the cutting of the abdomen, and when the samurai was finished, he stretched out his neck for an assistant to decapitate him. Since the main point of the act was to restore or protect one's honor as a warrior, those who did not belong to the samurai caste were never ordered or expected to carry out seppuku. Samurai generally could carry out the act only with permission. Sometimes a daimyo was called upon to perform seppuku as the basis of a peace agreement. This would weaken the defeated clan so that resistance would effectively cease. Toyotomi Hideyoshi used an enemy's suicide in this way on several occasions, the most dramatic of which effectively ended a dynasty of daimyo. When the H+ìj+ì were defeated at Odawara in 1590, Hideyoshi insisted on the suicide of the retired daimyo H+ìj+ì Ujimasa, and the exile of his son Ujinao; with this act of suicide, the most powerful daimyo family in eastern Japan was put to an end.
A tant+ì prepared for seppuku [edit]Ritual
In time, carrying out seppuku came to involve a detailed ritual. This was usually performed in front of spectators if it was a planned seppuku, not one performed on a battlefield. A samurai was bathed, dressed in white robes, and fed his favorite meal. When he had finished, his instrument was placed on his plate. Dressed ceremonially, with his sword placed in front of him and sometimes seated on special cloths, the warrior would prepare for death by writing a death poem.

Imagine if you would be playing a unique, ultra-modern sci-fi themed MMO. In this game, you would be an immortal being, piloting huge-ass spaceships and commanding the wealth of the nations. The single-shard universe of this game would be dynamic, shaped by player actions, with deep and complex gameplay mechanics giving birth to a multitude of behavioral patterns, which in turn form living subcultures totally unique to the virtual universe of this game.
Sounds cool, right?
Now imagine this game has no Evil. No Horde. It's so mature and realistic, that "evil" and "good" are just shades of neutral. Terrible actions can be justified. It's farmable NPCs are so faceless and stupid, that you couldn't really hate or fear them. People engage in minor conflicts, some over territory, most just for thirst of blood.
Then a creative player enters the field. He dreams big, and has worked tediously to achieve a position where he has the resources to make these dreams real in the game universe. What is his dream?
A major, all-engulfing WAR. An era of full-scale total annihilation, where tens and tens of thousands of human players clash in a fantastic escalation of exploding spaceship pixels. A conflict of unprecedented scale in the human history of online gaming. Not an everyday gudfite, but a really very ******* EPIC FIGHT.
He tries his best. He sacrifices the reputation of a whole alliance to become the Horde, to give Evil concrete shape that YOU could hate. A shape that is both ugly and scary in it's sheer size and might. One that you would want to stop by any means necessary. One that would make you break your routines, unite with others and fly your amazing spaceships built for this very purpose, into death or glory.
But no, you decide to cry like a baby because Goonies broke your toys and whine to make the devs change this incredible game so that nothing this glorious could ever take place, you want to go mining lalalala instead. Or save the Damsel for the 201th time.
**** you, and **** everyone like you.
If I had an alliance and even a slightest clue about 0.0 warfare, I'd knew exactly what I'd be doing now. I'm literally just waiting for someone in position to step up and do what needs to be done. This game happens in real time, none of us are getting any younger, and there won't be opportunities and tensions like this every week. Imagine what the game press would write, and what it would mean to EVE.
Make it happen, give New Eden this war.

Make it happen, give New Eden this war. They've been trying. After the Tenal "didn't want that region anyway" and Venal "didn't want that tech anyway" the last round of CFC vs BoB has been relatively painless. Even the logistics people got off lightly in Tenal, since Razor was retaking their home (Venal was a little different...)
But don't worry, Riverini's group has decided to attack ! So we're in for a real spectacle from his "game press" website. Stay tuned for tales of our fail cascade. Take all the tech Build all the titans Drop all the POSes

What the Idiot is doing is forcing CCP's hand to decide where this game is going to be in 2 years. Unfortunately, this tactic is so anti-thetical to ANY business model, that CCP WILL step in and adjust things at somepoint if this is indeed carried out.
And that is not 'paranoid carebear thinking'. THAT is business reality. The Idiot forgets that EVE is not a toy to CCP.
These are the simple facts, CCP will continue to see their subscription shrink and they will have to respond. The question is will players be willing to return after all this crap.
It all went wrong when CCP allowed grieving, as we all saw at fanfeast this year, there is no end to what someone is willing to do if grieving goes unchecked. With the upcoming changes to war mechanics maybe its time for CCP to stop grieving in its tracks.
