If anything it'll make the kind of people who ragequit rage even harder because they think they're being cheated out of appreciable amounts of money.
Which will make it that much sweeter to push their **** in.

Here's How I thought we should greet them....
Hello (insert New Eve-Players name)!
Welcome to EVE!!
Atari Thanks you for purchasing the EVE Boxed edition!! In fact, they've hired me to thank you properly!!!
How you ask? Well they've asked me to give you a guided tour of wormhole space!!!!
Something you wouldn't be able to do for a little while yet, on your own... and while we're there you'll have a chance to get some juicy Tech3 components!!...
My Sec Status? Oh, that, well you see CONCORD has been charging people to gain access to Wormhole space, and well, I've been sneaking so many people through without paying the tolls that CONCORD has branded me an outlaw.
Nothing to worry about, those pesky cops don't need our isk, and Atari wants to make sure you know that you are appreciated!!!!!
Now if you'll just accept the fleet invite on your screen, and warp to me, we can be on our way to wormhole space where vast riches await you!!!...
Here we are!! Now we must rapidly get away from the wormhole exit before it collapses and sucks us back through !!! Just warp to the nearest object!!
Enjoy exploring wormhole space!!
/emote waves goodbye

For the most part, it's fun to laugh at the players who get so serious about their gaming. People who die and go into fits about how they are going to come to your house and physically hurt you (not knowing that your 6'2", 320lbs, and powerlift competitively in the all-natural circuit). Or the guys who tell you how much better they are cause they PvP, and since you don't you obviously lack courage and have little balls (thus admitting that they validate their own small ********* by acting hard in-game).
But sometimes, the outright cruelty displayed by this playerbase IS appalling. I know many posters are just bluster, or making a joke out of it, and don't take it seriously. But I always wonder at the few who get a little giggle at the thought of making others cry.
Oh, sure, every teenage boy in the world nowadays thinks along the lines of "if they only knew how dangerous I really am, THEN they'd be scared". That's understandable. You spend enough time under a dominating parent, or in modern school systems, you're going to feel the need to intimidate someone else.
And then again, many actually recognize this as a fantasy environment where they can act out dreams that they absolutely feel no need to live out in real life.
But what about the few who are NOT acting, who are NOT compensating for subjective tormenting, who are insidiously and perversely enjoying the predicament of other players for no better reason than because it amuses them?
Well, sometimes you meet people who like torturing others. It's only fair to enjoy tormenting them in turn

There is now a group of players who joined up for Empyrean Age and Quantum Rise who now think they're "the ****" and are so excited about no longer being at the bottom of the totem pole that they now have someone newer than them... a new group they can subjugate.

Ironically, the sheer amount of denial from ganker/ganker-lickers proves that such "internet psychology" cannot be all wrong. After all, it takes maturity (and a pair) to admit having done anything questionable and instead it is easier to keep shifting the blame on others.

Of course all of you pro-gankers are assuming very wrongly that every one who you suicide bomb / kill who is a new character in a shuttle is a new player.
I think some of you will find out that you are painfully wrong when said player logs in and gets his mates to illustrate exactly how painful mass prolonged ganking can be lol.

Nothing new here. It is a well-known phenomenon of nature that anyone who gets wardecced or ganked is actually the alt of/friend of Someone very important in <very important corp or alliance>, and the person who killed them should be quite concerned.

That's right. I attacked a guy once and he said that if he had wanted to he could have dropped 20 caps on me. That's right, 20! 20 guys just sitting around waiting for the call from him to gank my thorax.
