I stopped reading right there.

I suspect a lot of the complaints ITT could be summed up "I don't like the guys who are winning".

Don't be so self-conscious. :]
OK maybe I was being unfair. But it's hard to get over that Jade makes valid points thing; Jade has 2 posts a) Trolling goons (goons are terribly easy to troll) or b) Jade Constantine. His posts would only be on-topic if this were Livejournal. But I'll forgive you that as it's easy to mistake verbose for intelligent or worthwhile.

This is one of the prime concerns of my initial argument, which is the need for a less monopolized CAOD. If there is a Delve campaign which involves a large number of players, disproportionate to other 0.0 then that does not necessarily need to be reflected by the number of NEW threads on generally the same topic every day.
What's going on in Delve right now is the culmination of YEARS of fighting by tens of thousands of subscribers. I don't think it's CAOD coverage is particularly out of proportion considering how soon it'll likely be resolved.

Jade preferred it when his space buddies were top dog and would **** up any threads with impunity, there's a shock.

Yeah it's not like CCP changed the freaking CAOD rules because BoB went overboard with the ASCN propaganda or anything.
You people have short memories.

Originally by: Montasque No one is stopping anyone from making long winded diatribes about internet spaceship politics, as this thread clearly shows.
But Jade can't just have anyone who laughs at his textual diarrhea banned from the forum so obviously something is terribly wrong.

Originally by: Jade Constantine delete CAOD because at the moment its a negative selling point to the game of Eve Online. ...
Doesn't read this forum but goes to Scrapheap Challenge where the war and politics forum is properly moderated and respected by the posters ...
Taking his ball and going home isn't enough for Jade, he wants the whole pitch dug up. If Scrapheap is already your ideal forum go post there exclusively, no one is stopping you.

Additional rules: - Costs 25m to appoint or change a spokesperson - 1 spokesperson per 50 members in corp other than CEO (CEO can always post)
That would simply make CAOD an elitist enclave, which in my view would not be a good thing.
I do agree that it might make CAOD 'elitist', but I think this is perfectly consistent with the forum description:
"From political conflicts to battle reports, news, and corporation press releases – this is the in-character political center for all things corporate."
Such posts are made by corp representatives. If we are to consider it to be an in-character political center, what place does a grunt have in making an unsolicited thread? In my opinion, unless they are the CEO or an appointed representative, they have no place in making statements on behalf of their corporation. They could always discuss the matter in Eve General discussion if they needed to urgently get something out.
I think there is a strong prima facie for 25m isk in wallet rule.
Following and talking about the locker room politics of Eve makes the game more fun. It can already feel like only CEOs or alliance leaders get the full metagame experience and now you propose to make all the alliance drones sit passively and read press releases? That doesn't sound like an improvement at all.
Make another forum for that. Could call it "Pretty banners and crap no one will read".

Lol, for goons to ****post in it ? I think not... look at my thread that was just locked... goon spew in it after 2min!
No, only a few did (or their posts were all moderated out). The reason your thread was locked was because you not only posted a duplicate thread, but failed to manage to keep it on topic. Good job, you have nobody to blame but yourself for that one.
GOON ALT RADAR *DINGDINGDING* I think I found one!!
I hope one day CAOD will match up to your high standard of flames and one liners.
