So over the past few weeks, I cant help but notice that a good amount of people living in wormholes cant set up poses correctly. From forgetting stront, to configuring the defense to not fire on people shooting your pos, or even not putting a single defense module or gardener on, people have gotten bad about this.
So bearing thar in mind, what have the larger worm space groups run across that made them cringe? For me, it was seeing a group setup a tower in one of our systems and tried to run sites with no defenses up and no strong in the tower. They were given a right fast trip to high.

Not having a gardener really annoys me. You live in an empty pocket of space, at least have the decency to put a few flower boxes out, have a nice manicured lawn, prune the trees. Come on people, won't you think of the shrubberies?
That said, I always hated finding the derelict pos with nothing around. Usually the corp is dead, the tower is offline, no mods left, just a big stick that is a waste of ammo to kill. I always thought pos structures should have some form of salvage.
Also, I find it funny when a pos owner forgets to bring ammo it doesn't bring the correct size. Being accused of cheating because their small pos guns won't fire small projectile ammo is always a laugh. |

Ah, of course; not keeping a clean lawn and doing the proper yardwork is pretty impolite. Luckily there are groups that do yardwork for free!
And how could they possibly be dense enough to use the wrong ammo? That's Pos setup 102, right after "Setting your pos up". |

Not sure this qualifies, but I spent three hours lurking in ambush outside a POS waiting for someone to come on out - At least three active players pressent. All they did did was noodle about inside the force field. EVE is EVE - Feaces will eventuate. |

I'll go all Cool Story Bro for a minute here.
Last week, one of my alliance mates had some people being idiots on a wormhole in high sec. Not that big a deal. So we form up in system, and wait. The only thing showing on that hole is a talos from our side, and a Stabber Fleet Issue from theirs. Suddenly, an itty from their side jumps in and our talos follows. One shot later, itty goes down. Pod lasted just as long. I warp into the hole and sit there in high sec, only to be told in local that the hole is owned, and that there is a hostile talos inside.
Oh ho reaaaaaaaaaaally.
So, a few minutes later I offer my services to the guy sitting there to help take the talos down. He agrees and fleets me up. So I say "Let's jump in and get this guy", hoping for a quick kill. But alas, it was not to be. He insisted in bringing friends in. Meanwhile my alliance mates waited in system.
Cut to two hours later. They managed to get a 10 man fleet with logi support to kill one guy in a talos. During the interim they had fleeted me and brought me into their intel channel. We just had to sit and wait. Eventually though, we got bored. So I proceeded to jump in and claimed to get the talos to half armor before jumping back. Naturally, since the guy was on my side, didn't fire once. But it took me claiming that to get these guys to jump a ten man fleet on top of a talos.
Once they realized that he and I were the same alliance (since they couldn't be bothered to put eyes on their side of the hole), I was promptly booted from fleet and their intel channel. We jumped our fleet in to engage the fleet that was there, but they all warped off. All 14 of them. They had jumped a few more over while we weren't watching but to no avail. All of them ran and then they tried to claim that they were really good at pvp.
So we crashed their hole and left 5 of their members sitting in high sec.
I know, boring ending, I'm sorry. But sometimes you get blue balled in wormhole space. |

I'm visiting an awful lot of w-space systems these days ... trying, trying, trying to find volunteers for my noob PvP efforts.
Some of the setups I find are truley beautiful creations. Some have everything lined up neatly and evenly space ... the well manicured lawn previously mentioned. Some look like they came from an egg dropped from height ... everything all over the place. Some bristle with weapons and others are artistically minimalist. Some I just look at in awe, and some I refer to my more experienced alliance-colleagues for attention.
The most awe inspiring so far was in a C1 a couple weeks ago. It was a large faction tower surrounded by 74 faction mods. Every module that could be fitted faction was fitted faction. There were several SMAs so I also assume they have capitals in there. From memory a Korean corp. Not too far from my main ops TZ, so I have a babysitter in system for when I get a bit more confident / competent with killing people. We can build and sell pretty much every ship. Check my bio for details. Our pirate epic arc completion packages really are very good: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12973&find=unread |

I think the worst thing I ran into was in my first Class 1 WH my Alliance owned.
We were selling it to someone else, and on that day, a French WH corp moved in. They anchored and onlined guns without ammo, and their EWar wasnt shooting at us, so they had no idea how to do things. Despite that, they still had Stronium.
Second worst (Arguably scariest / funniest thing) I've personally ran into while selling Wormholes?

It never ceases to amaze me how some wh corps can still screw up the "emergency scanning alt" Golden Rule.
I lived in a C2/C3stat for 18 months or so, and found 4 POS out of fuel in the static, netting me probably 10bill in loot. Our corp did a highsec-to-wh raid over an afternoon and discovered a hs to C5. In it was a dry POS, a Chimera and several hangars etc. It took us the rest of the evening to fly all the BS & mods etc. out, then get a corpie into the Chimera so we could kill it, get the km and the uninsured payout
It still happens. I love it. The box said "Requires Windows-á2000 or better", so I installed Linux. |

Best story for me was how KAIRS got started wanting to do pvp.
We were in our static, and we just ran a few anoms. Our thrasher was salvaging the second to last one, when a bomb decloaked and popped up. He was apparently a friend of the residents that we didn't see. Needless to say, we are all a little butthurt about losing our nanoribbons.
We decided to put eyes on their pos, to see wtf happened. I warp my scan alt over and as soon I drop out of warp, their pos shields go down. I guess he ran out of fuel or something. After letting the guys in fleet know, we get a combat ship over there to start shooting. Well, a hauler full of pos fuel lands at the same as our combat ship, and it's goodbye fuel. This is when we decide to do something about getting our salvager popped. His pos needs to die.
So we warp our entire fleet, and some extras from corp, and start smashing his pos. He calls in people from a lowsec hole in the wormhole to come help him. They bring about 10 guys but warp in 2-3 at a time. Needless to say, that doesn't end well for them. They start arguing with the pos owner over getting wrecked, and we proceed to destroy everything that guy owned.
From then on out, we decided pvp was a lot more fun |

slightly fail on my part... but also a good bit of fail on theirs. I bought a C2 w/ C3 static and it included a thanatos. All was well and good for a bit, I had a medium POS up and was preparing to put up a large, when my ISP decides to cut off my service (a whole different story... we had wanted it turned off about a month and a half later, and didn't want it to renew a contract... now almost a year later and its STILL causing problems for us). So we were unexpectedly without service for about 2 weeks.
Come back, and someone killed my tower and placed one of their own up right where mine used to be. Since I had logged off at the pos, we came hurtling back in and bounced off the shields. Expected to get blapped... and nothing... log back in all the alts and roommate, no cloaks... sitting outside of the POS (it had guns and everything), not getting shot. Took a potshot at it... no return fire. Debated getting revenge for their temerity... decided to move into alliance C5 instead.
It was really tempting to go in and bash that POS to bits though...

Look, while I'd be thrilled, every time an alliance says "we're active in the AU TZ" so far it's been so disappointing. LAWN was a good example, 1 month, not a signle op in our TZ. I'm in RvB atm simply because people want to do something together. I did consider a Talocan corp before I went to LAWN but I felt I was far too inexperienced. |

not so long ago i was in a C2 WH where i put a small caldari tower up with corp hanghar and SMA
after a few days the locals had enough and brought in a 10 man BS fleet put my POS in reinforced
by the time they had it in reinforced i already cleared all my stuff out
i decided to gamble and pulled out all the fuel
once the tower went out of reinforced i blew up the corp hanghar and SMA and started unanchoring
at that time their BS fleet showed back up and started shooting my tower
as the tower was unanchoring i moved my crane in position and the moment the tower was unanchored i scooped it and made my escape :D
had a great laugh with the guys in local :) before i moved out |

As to noodling around in the POS. I always do that when I know there are eyes on me. Nothing worse than watching someone orbit mods and randomly change ships. (Great way to get reading/work/other games done too.)
One of our best offline POS stories was with one of the other big w-space corps. (Not going to name them, but they had a few corps in the hole all in the same alliance. Normally they are quite a bit of fun.) There were about 4 of us, and 10+ of them online. We were just poking around and watching for targets of opportunity. The scout sees one of the POS shields go down, there were 3 SMAs exposed. We decide to try and clean up the mess for them. We pop the SMAs and start ferrying ships out while the scout keeps eyes on the POS with the most active pilots in it. Suddenly they all warp out. We think the game is up, but they did not head for the hole, then D-scan starts showing sleeper wreaks. We finish moving out a handful of T3s, some drakes and other random T1s and someones BO-BS crasher. Then, sadly fail at ganking their notctis when they salvage the site. |
