Yeah, use gates, warp to them and click on them, in the overview you should see a jump button, click it, and you'll jump to the next system.

Easy: open your cyno well within dock range of a station, and make sure nobody is sitting there when you do. 30 seconds later, your carrier will be safely docked, leaving very little time for anyone to bump it out of dock range, and no chance of killing it without the bump. Worst case scenario, you lose the cyno ship. -----------

your best bet is to warp to random moons in the system after you leave the gate, and from there goto the next gate that way no one will know where you are

Just make sure the station isn't a death trap. IE: make sure it doesn't spit you out of undock range when you undock.
Put the cyno up and spam jump to member in the carrier. When your invuln timer is up you'll jump, not giving anyone enough time to put a point on you.

It's pretty funny when someone makes a sarcastic remark like this, and then be totally wrong.
Carriers can't use gates, good work.

Quoted for irony. Hint: I'm pretty sure he knows that he just gave the guy "how to get your carrier ganked" instead of real advice. -----------

Just stay at the cyno until it burns out. Then jump to the next cyno. Definately the best choice. ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

So no one has ever lost a capital moving through low sec that knew what they were doing? No one ever? Or just not you (yet)?
You add nothing to this conversation, you aren't even trying to get the guy to lose his ship, you are just being holier than thou.
8/10 for arrogance.

I won't argue the arrogance part, but he is basically correct. You'd have to make a pretty stupid mistake to lose a cap in low sec, like docking at a deathtrap.

Getting into the system is not a problem, as someone wrote, light cyno close enough to station that you will be inside dockrange. Find edge of station by flying away from it, when distance start to increase from zero, move toward it, and get inside 5k of the edge, make sure you're not close to any protruding objects of the station). That way noone will get you docking.
Undocking is a little more tricky, you can be bumped by other ships undocking, so be carefull undocking. If someone has a trap set its not difficult killing a carrier like that. So basically, if you see a lot of possible hostiles in station be carefull.
