Things got a bit out of hand, but we all had a good time. Aurora is mostly noobs that were mass recruited in an attempt to move to null. My favorite part was when EVE-Union logged their caps that weren't raped by our fleet in a safespot, only to self-destruct them 2 days after we had left the WH.
That wh has made a nice home for us....HAHA!

Butthurt, yes. Wrong? LOL no. Hmm think both. You don`t need lots of people to effectively set up and farm c5-c6. Well and if someone overblobs 10-1 and then waves spacedick about it, well - guess they are so insecure that have to have a lot of people around them even in the game =) Reminds me about that scene in fight club with balls cancer support group =)

Wormhole space is serious, good sir! I do agree though, it's a lot more fun to have even numbers. Alliance Diplomat, Recruiter |

I just hate when people don't keep their Home system clean (sig-wise)
Jumping to a system, find 3 or 4 tower on scan, ships inside.... and them you drop probes, start scan, and there-¦s 20, 30+ sigs..... I just hate that. And I love everyone living in w-space, and like encountering everyone.

Yeah. You can tell if someone knows what they are doing in W-space or not by simply dropping a DSP in their home system and seeing how many sigs you get back, pretty much. |

I hate it too, which is why I do it to others I leave signatures that are of no use to me and have a different size than potential wormholes intact, so people visiting my hole have more work to do. From my experience, even skilled scanners seldom use DSPs to pre-sort signatures, so they have to scan everything. It depends on the statics you have in your system. Size-10 sigs need to be scanned of course, because as you say all incoming wormholes are of that size. But they are also the easiest to scan, and you only need them to scan at 4 or 2 AU range to see what they are and can stop there if they're worthless (lad/grav).
The C2 system I was most active in during the past few months had a c2 static, which is unique in its size as far as w-space signatures go. The second static to lowsec is the same size as middle-tier ladar and grav sites as well as outgoing wormholes to C3.
There are however no signatures of the smallest size that can be wormholes except outgoing holes to nullsec, which are very rare unless you have a static of that kind. In fact, I have never seen one in my system. So I can assume with 99% safety that signatures of the smallest kind are mag, rad or higher-tier grav/lad and not wormholes.
Not having to scan the smallest sigs incidentally yields the highest time-saving, because those sigs are the hardest to scan down.
And even in the rare case that one of those sigs is in fact an outgoing wormhole to NS (or is a static), there is a very high probability that nobody has scanned and warped to it and it's closed and harmless. Especially if you're in a system with lots of sites where no ratting has occured in the past 24 hours. Nobody scans down a system with loads of sigs and opens the holes only to leave it without farming the sites.
In summary I save a lot of scanning time by sacrificing 100% reliable intel for about 95% reliable intel. I think it's a good deal.
I recently shifted my focus into a C5 with static C3. It doesn't work there because the static is of the smallest size. But most of the scanning is not done in your home system anyway, but in your static. And in C3s my approach is again very much viable. I don't know how can someone live like that. No complaining, just.... damn, it takes some skills to live inside a whole flooded with sigs. I would kill myself everytime after downtime, tbh

We do that on a regular basis in KAIRS when we WH dive (which is on a practically daily basis) because we're usually after PvP not sites to farm. I wouldn't be surprised if most other WH roamers are doing the same exact thing to you, the very thing you said nobody does. *laughs* |

Heh. I was under no illusion that I'm the only one, but I do think we're a minority
I'm almost always exclusively interested in wormholes. Either because I want to know all of them to be relatively safe while ratting, or because I'm looking for targets. I do not mine ore or gas and I never fly radar or mag sites. They're just not worth the extra effort and higher difficulty if there are anomalies around. So in my view, all sigs in w-space except wormholes are junk... unless I expect the residents to use them later. are people just poor or lazy!? Why the hell do people insist on leaving ships sitting in a pos un-manned and in a big cluster?! My god what a pain in the ass that is...

Mmmm. Hadn't heard that one. I generally know the sig percent at a given pattern anyways. First look will tell me what I'm scanning, and I don't drop probes anyways unless A) there's nobody visible or B) the visible targets are all 1:20 k/d and unlikely to leave POS anyways. Sorting is an irrelevant extra step.
My anti-bane: A guy who having seen my combats twice (small system - launch and then scan), still came back to his gas mining pocket. We hictored him to drive the lesson home. |

I mean this as a kindness, Bane, from one hole jumper to another; your tank and point mean next to nothing to anyone who does their intel. We could have you down before your backup arrived, and be out again, laughing all the way home. |
