After reading quite a few threads today, (been a really slow friday here) am wondering if any of the old timers or even new guys can tell me how much of a disadvantage i will be at in a PvP fight since my highest stats seem to be int and memory.
For example
My current attributes stand at
16 int 11 mem 11 per(since i have a +1 implant) 9 and 8 for everything else
current learning stats are
learning 3 spatial per 3 instant recall 3 everything else on 2
Everything i am reading seems to point to int/mem being worse off as fighters
is this true/myth
is there any way to change this round without rerolling if it is true?
thanks in advance for any replies " Phantom is a Pirate in training "

Ya, u do have terrible attributes to be able to learn the skills needed for PvP and such. U should concentrate on Perception and Willpower if u wanna do PvP and be able to learn those skills faster. But there is always implants which u could buy/get from missions/get from corp etc. Try to find Perc and Will implants to raise ur stats on those attributes and u should be better of.
Good luck, and since u seem to be a pirate, pod ya later

Int/Mem skills can be very useful to fighters as it enables your character to max out learning skills quicker, and get your engineering, electronics, mechanic skills up faster.
There is alot more to fighting than perc/will skills.
Sex0r > you're bounty turns me on.. you seem like the kind of amarrian to dominate me

i realise there is alot more than just atributes, but the way i was reading those forums, anyone with high per/wis has a distinct advantage over a int/mem char.
that is why i asked the question, does this just relate to learning times for skills if so dun worry i got plenty of time to get to where i wanna be before pvp :-)
approaching the 200k sp mark not goin near a pvp fight unless i get jumped before i hit the 2 mill skill point mark
and if i get jumped will do mah best and take it from there :-)
cheers all and thanks again for the info

your attributes only dictate how long skills take to train, so your just gonna take a bit more time to get good skill levels in the PVP orientated skills.

Edited by: Algazara on 13/08/2004 12:54:13 I have Very high Int(23) and decent mem (16). It takes longer time to train ships ,guns and missiles but most of the other skills, electronics, enginering, navigation etc..take lesser time i prolly one of the highest ship training however maybe little over the edge but havin huge intel and mem has not made me any worse in pvp :)

In general, int mem are now nearly just as important as perc/will to get allround pvp skills up.
I think a well-rounded set of attributes actually works best nowadays, even for fighters. Only non-desirable is charisma.
I myself have all attributes but charisma at about 13, and I have no implants. It was a bad choice in the past but seems to work fine now I mainly train up secondary combat related skills.
A newly created alt of mine now stands at 17 perc, 15 will, 12 mem, 12 int, 6 charisma, which includes a full set of +2 implants for the first four attributes. Since this alt will be aimed towards interceptors and new cruiser-class ships only, but for as many races as I can get her into, I consider this a reasonably good set of attributes, altho in retrospect I should have given her 1-2 point less perc and more mem.
