Please CCP, can you fix the Blockade mission so that its nearby a stargate, but OFF the grid so that no one can see you. Today I was doing the blockade mission and this guy in a Vigil comes over and starts stealing every single one of my loot cans. Mainly because I was 80km from a gate, and he saw over 20 loot cans, he just warped in, and I was still fighting the NPCs. So I ask, can you please edit the mission so that its either off teh grid, or remove it completely, its kind of a waste to spend all that time killing wave after wave and to see someone come by and steal all your loot. I almost fired on the guy too, but then I realized it was a .6 system ................. |

Of course i don't agree with the "loot stealer" but as far as I can see, you are free to start looting immediately after you have dispatched the first spawn group.
Or did I miss something?
If there is company at the gate, why not fly a half circle and bring the bad guys on top of the looter?

Well im sorry someone nicked your stuff but i havent had it happen to me in 10 or so blockade missions and i might be wrong but if you read the mission it states gather people to help or something so i guess thats the reason its at a gate(cant remember off hand the exact wording). and i dont know about remove it entirely its a BIG earner :)

You don't really need help from anyone on this mission, I do it in a rupture easily (yet to encounter a 500k commander though). Luckely people in my system are considerate and go calmly about their business while I kite the waves 300 km away from the gate

I have also wondered this, since it seems there are a finite number of mission spawns, since i frequently run into other agent runners on missions. However, its always cool to do a mission near something (stargate, mining outpost, debris field, etc.) as opposed to the middle of space. Auction your items for isk, works sort of like ebay. |

They won't attack the looter. I play 2 accts. in separate windows, one (in a BS) is killing spawn, another (in a probe) is looting. Works well for me. :)

Run a tidy mission. I have run this several times and never have more than about 3-4 cans up at a time.
Scavengers are attracted by a large amount of litter.
An NPC Corporation is not the pilot of its ships and structures! |

No i dont want CCP to delete the mission because its a really good one. And it is nice to do missions near some big object like a planet or a stargate. But i do think that the rats should attack the looter aswell, then its just to head straite for him/her when they are stealing your cans.

I like the mission and love the location. I mostly loot the cans from the big ones during the fight, but even if i didnt do that, nobody stole my cans so far (local normally being 40-60 ppl). Admittedly i normally shout "loot up for grabs at xxx gate" when the mission is over, cause im too lazy to get every last can
My opionion is that the mission location definetely adds flavor to eve, as something is happening next to you while you travel f.e.. It improves the immersion into the game, and the newbs get to see some actual npc combat. Furthermore i sometimes really enjoy the show (f.e. when i see an inty doing the mission).
Lag from those cans is neglectable and normally its no problem to find someone who cleans up after you. But i would agree that the spawns should not only attack the mission runner, but also everybody in the vicinity (30 km or so, should keep the travellers clear)

This is a good mission, and it has been fixed imo, so leave it alone

I think it is at a good distance from the gate now, the travelers should be safe. So i really think they should change it again so that everyone close to the mission bookmark and to the rats should get fired upon. And maybe they could make the rats to keep their distance to the gate at about 70k so that peacefull travelers wont get fired on. It is much more logical that the rats would fire on everyone they think/know is an enemy.

They do drop good loot, Ive had several f90s and named launhcers drop from the loot, and I would be very ****ed if someone else got them for free. ................. |

I can confirm that. Although I don't know if it matters if you're getting the mission from a pirate agent or not. And the implants aren't the only good stuff in those cans. Never the less I like the mission how it is. Most of the time my can trail goes beyond sentry gun range and if anybody tries their luck I'll take them apart.

dude, i cannot believe that you are that hard up for isk that u would actually complain. who cares if some noob grabs a few cans. I like the mission, i think it fits, i'd vote that it stays the same. I've picked up a Dread Guristas Heavy Missile Launcher dropped by a Dread Annihilator (400k) on that mission today. I'd have been very ****ed if someone else had gotten ahold of that, instead of myself...

I allready did tons of blocade missions and I can't really say that I have ever gotten any really good loot from it.
Some malkuth launchers, a polarised armour repaire or an overcharged afterburner would have been my best drops.
Now either I'am on an extremely unlucky streak heren which happens all to often in this game, OR a lot of you guys are selling a load of *************.
My guess is that it is a bit of both. Come on, they drop implants? Yah right....
Maybe you got some uber dread gurrista's or whatever item, but you probably fail to mention that you had to do 10.000 blocades first before it dropped? Or maybe you fail to mention that you did that mission in 0.0. All very important pieces of info.
Post like this where one person says they aren't getting anything, while another person says they only get uber stuff (of which 95% is probably just exagerated ****) are just feeding the unhappiness of a lot of players. Just go watch one of the thousands of implant related topics on this forum.

Well ive been working the 3 x lvl 3 navy agents in suroken for some weeks now and no dread pirates so far......best so far is the eraser at 110K or the navy BS's at 750K before they were removed

Use a blaster rax, u will own this mission everytime and also be in a nice range to pick up the cans.....
one time i was picking up cans... and a guy come running down in a merlin.... i get to the can and take the loot, he then targets me and fires... was really funny _

what really sux is having a loot theif and having 4 people at the same gate doing exact same mission. i mean come on 4 people all doing blockade in same system at same gate at same time. Devs do something to fix this

what really sux is having a loot theif and having 4 people at the same gate doing exact same mission. i mean come on 4 people all doing blockade in same system at same gate at same time. Devs do something to fix this
