i am using evepremiumpatch75883-84244.exe and the updater keeps telling me that "there was a temporary error downloading the required files"... don¦t know if this problem is local or your servers deny my requests.

try using this: http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/evepremiumpatch75883-84244_m.exe its the full patch file, instead of the autoloader.

- no auto patching happening in the client - i look at the website and it just refers to the old 75883 content? nothing newer in client or patch menu items.
I have 75883 installed, what am i doing wrong?
looks like I'm having the same problems as Janus Nightmare?
I'm in the UK if that helps?
L2patch the patch you want is there. you want to tell it what version you have now.. which is indeed 75883. then it will give you the new patch.. heres a link if thats too complicated for you:

As predicted and as experienced by plenty of people who tried to join Sisi:
Your hopeless autopatcher declares that the 'installation is corrupt' and that I need to manually download the patch .. which turns out to be the fuking autopatcher all over again. Run this (ANOTHER 1.3gb) and it tells me to do a full manual installation as its the installation folder is corrupt. Go to the patch link provided and I get the fuking autopatcher **** again. So guess what thats going to tell me!
I said before that the autopatcher was w@nk and it is.
I look forward to downloading that patch sometime tomrrow so I dont get myself violating my 'fair usage' policy with my ISP. I dont think they'll be too amused at nearly 4gb in an hour.
Usual patch day w@nkisity from CCP.
Good job guys, keep it up.
PS: Yeah im p1ssed off with you and yeah im whining but yeah, you fuking knew it wasnt working for a high percentage of customers but you failed (as usual) to do something about it.

try adding _m.exe it will give you the manual installer instead of the auto.
edit: if you dont know what i mean read my previous posts. if you still dont get it, just wait for everything to settle down, then try again. failing that: can i have your stuff?

Same here, there is no auto-patching for me and all the manual downloads seem to be for 75883, not Apocrypha.

Actually, he's not wrong... for some reason for some of us the patch page doesn't list our current version (75883) as upgradeable when selecting your current client. For some reason it says we can only upgrade TO 75883. 'tis very strange, but thanks to your link I am downloading the patch now.

My feedback is that CCP should provide more info on obtaining the full patch download (not through BITS)
This link http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/evepremiumpatch75883-84244_m.exe shouldnt have to be provided by users with know-how...
Why doesnt the website link get this file instead of the auto-patcher all over again. Im kind of with annoing on this one, without the aggro.

You know, I ran into this problem with the Sisi autopatcher, but I found that it was a bogus error. The patch installation actually worked perfectly, but I got that exact same error message.
I wouldn't fret over it right away, it could simply be a bug in the patcher application like it was with Sisi.

What they're saying is that it's not listed. Why isn't it listed? I have no idea, but it's definitely not.

This is what I gathered:
Assuming you are patching from a premium client version 75883
1) The part 1 patch of 1389MB will bring the client to 83913. 2) The part 2 patch (which you can either get it via autoupdater or thru the website by selecting your client to be 83913) will bring you to 84244. 3) If you download the full client, it will only get you up to 84063 and therefore you need to download thru the autoupdater/website by selecting the client as 84063 to bring the client up to 84244.
Question: Why is the full client not already at 84244? Won't that actually be simpler to download? I was initially confused with the differing numbers between the patch and the full client and I was under the impression that the full client download was buggy or something.

I just got the second 13mb autopatch down the line and installed without any trouble. Running Windows Vista Premium (32 bit) and everything went quite smoothly indeed.
I just watched it tick down to server up, now waiting for "not accepting connections" to clear away.
Good luck, everyone!

Most likely a small patch was made, and it takes lots of time to build full installer packages as opposed to a small.

Originally by: CCP EVE Online: Apocrypha staged patching reported by: CCP Wrangler | 2009.03.09 23:47:15
As we launch EVE Online: Apocrypha there is quite a bit to download and to get that done as smoothly as possible we will have two patches to get the full expansion. The first patch will be made available at approximately 09:30 GMT on 10 March via the auto-patching system, and itĘs a big one at about 1.35 GB. The Mac client will have one patch as it didnĘt have premium content, this patch will be 2.17 GB. Once Tranquility opens we will have a second, much smaller, patch which will give your client the final version and get you ready to find those wormholes!

Edited by: Riechao Tsu on 10/03/2009 12:11:31 Not so much an issue, but an irritation: Download was fairly fast, install was successful, but upon starting the client, I found the language to be in Japanese. It would be nice to be able to change this in the client options or an .ini file since I'm not a native speaker.
**edit: After updating with the 13mb second patch, it went back to English.

Thanks for the info EvilSpork.
Even if we are doing something wrong, the process is pretty messed up and complicated if you have to dig through pages of forum posts to find the link to get the download started.

I had same problem from US also, in Firefox, IE, Chrome, and Flock browsers. I wanted to rule out it being a cookie issue in my browser so I tried different ones. Didn't matter, all showed the same thing.
EDIT: I'm talking about the download page problem, not the classic to premium patcher issue others are having.

If yo are having problems with slow download speeds, it may not be on ccp side. Don't forget you have to go through multiple servers to get to them. You may have a loss between your home and CCP. I was lucky this morning and downloaded full patch in 8.3 mins. But not always the case, at times i get a 30% in route to ccp server :( Good luck with todays patch all
