So the game will not patch, so I go to the website to try and find a manual download. There are some news considering the patch, but no links.. (******s)
Browsing the forums and all I can find is a thread that used to have a torrent link(edited away by CCP) and the thread ends by some CCP dude who links me to the patching site where all I just find the old builds...
WTF am i missing?

Take all day and waste it while your at it. Many people read and try and it fails. Works for some not for others.
Checks the luck drawer. Nope, empty today.

Anyone know where I can download the classic Eve client if it exists anymore, or at least the premium lite I have been hearing about? The downloads here are only for the premium client which runs too slow.

Enter the EVE settings by clicking escape, click the "optimize settings" button on the "Display&Graphics" tab. Select "optimize for performance" and click apply.

Which address is that? When I go to http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp?s=&test=&system=win, which is the page linked to on the OS selection page, I get the screen that I posted?
I doubt the web server hands out different pages to different users.

Try with another web browser or another system (to make sure it's not the page cache in Firefox), and if that doesn't help, file a bug report with the page address, and the page source attatched as a text file.

Changing web browser doesn't help. Thanks for your support anyway. :) I'll file a bug report.

The instructions on the patch download page are: Please select the version of the EVE Online client that you currently have installed So yes, it definitely makes sense to select the build you already have.

Yeah, that's an odd one. As I wrote earlier: If the web server truly sends old data to some users, then submit a bug report.

I find it hard to belive that a person with an IQ below 70 would be able to post on internet forums, let alone create and upload screenshots.

the problem is that many of us are: A: not getting an auto patcher B: the links you have are not being displayed for us C: There doesn't seem to be a way to get the links you SS's to appear.

In his last post the OP clearly demonstrated that he didn't actually bother to read the instructions on the patch download site, hence the screenshots with nice red arrows.
As I stated previously, if you get an old page: Make sure the page isn't cached. If it isn't a problem with your web browser then submit a bug report.
For the record, here is the patch from the last premium QR to the latest build.

Lugn, use this link. It's the direct download from whent he full client online install bombs for some reason - it's the offline installer, all 1996.34 MB of it.
If you can't download that, it's nobody's fault but your own.

Unlikely it's my browser. I tried viewing the site from work(don't visit eveonline.com on that system) tried from 2 of the 3 systems in my house, each time clearing the cache prior.

same problem here... thanks for the direct download link ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application. |
