Any idea why? This is of course a problem which came about after i spent about 6 hours downloading the patch using the supremely gash "CCP Download manager" for it to fail and having to dl a fresh install...
I wont go into how much trouble i had with vista. Lets just say i had to replace a keyboard.
Cheers in advance

I had that today, after I had played for a few hours i logged out, did some work on my Mac, then decided to go back in and try out the skill queue. I got in station and had to ctrl-alt-del my way out several attempts. Only a complete restart had me logging back into EvE with success.
have you tried that?

i've been having this problem on my MBP also.
I had to do a complete restart of OSX to get eve to run for more than a minute.
I've also never been able to cleanly shut down the eve client without force quitting

Unless you manually edited the Info.plist file in the application bundle, whenever you start the client (even before the EvE client code is actually run) that folder is created and populated.
Make sure you are looking for ~/Library/Preferences/EVE Online Preferences and not for /Library/Preferences/EVE Online Preferences

'~' is your home directory or home folder with will have your login name. <UserName>/Library/Preferences/EVE Online Preferences/ ie, where mine could be Ariel/Library/Preferences/EVE Online Preferences/

Done and it seems to have worked...for now. I'm not getting my hopes up though, assuming this problem will probably return with vengeance.
Cheers for the help

If you have a blue circle on your Spotlight, you're running Tiger, which is 10.4.x
Tiger is not supported, you'll likely need to purchase Leopard.

So I'm noticing a trend, in that the Devs don't really care about Mac issues. It's basically unplayable for me. I can sit in stations and market manipulate except that my trading toon I had the misfortune to undock.

No worries, or better, big worries. The same thing happens to me on the up-to-date Leopard on a 'just-became-obsolete' iMac 24" alu with nVidia GS8800.

I get this after playing for about 40 min or so. Seems to be a memory leak of some kind.

I get this bug sometimes (dunno the exact error code) after running the client for anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours, making stable gameplay very unpredictable.
I also get the odd 'pure virtual function call' error, with a code of R6025.
