Anyone actually downloaded the the full build of Apocrypha from steam?. I tried downloaded the patch via the logon window...That failed twice...I even tried deleting local content and just letting Steam download Eve Online again...that hasn't worked. Odd though the download size changed from 1300meg to 2600meg (roughly). So I assumed the last time I was getting Apocrypha...Actually Downloaded Quantum twice...Trying to download again now..It did say on the Steam website that the Apocrypha has been deployed...or are CCP and Steam just lying?.

Well I tried to download Eve Online Apocrypha from steam...and yes old version..with the message please patch...CCP again have let themselves down...If you guys (CCP) are going to use a DLC provider like Steam..at least make available the new build.
As usual another pathetic deployment attempt from CCP...

I couldn't get a patch or full download to work from Steam, so I just did a full client install direct from CCP.

Running the client directly from the Steam directory rather than through the Steam client will resolve this issue. You'll be able to patch normally and will run the game without issue.

I downloaded the Client off a torrent in the end...Fallout if your guys can't deploy updated complete eve installs via Steam..just don't bother.. spent 8hours trying to get this to work.

I've had to do the 'run client directly' thing for a few games in the past. Especially ones that are best run in Admin mode. I did it for Fallout 3 a bit, until I managed to tweak everything so Steam started it in Admin mode automatically.
Personally, I'd love to have EVE through Steam, but seeing the price on buying it is a bit daunting- I'm already paying for the game, I don't want to pay for a new account activation that I don't need. I just want to submit my account information or some other verification that I have an EVE account and just get the client via Steam free. I'm perfectly fine with starting it for updates directly, so all would be cool. ---- "Sounds like a bad case of pikal envy, if you ask me."
