Ok, you had my undivided attention before the underwear commentary, now I can't concentrate properly, sod the carpet.
Get yourself some secure cans, or move. Secure cans are a pain, but if you anchor and pass it, it'll stop little oiks stealing your ore.
Anyone can do it, but its advisable not to. Next time, get the guys name and put a bounty on him. |

This will only open up new markets for agent runners, who will be most likely to have access to agents removing the flag for a decent cost.
A new business, someone buys your stolen ore for a lower than market value price, have the right agent remove the flag and sell it right back at market price. Or you can just pay the the fee plus brokerage costs. Of course, the latter requires trust, a thief might just rip off the thief
This won't stop ore thieving, it will only open up new markets
What I would like is if these agent thingies would become VERY expensive so atleast they can't be earning money from noobs that mine in 1.0 and that if the correct owner(of the stuff that got "stolen") could correct the flag(I know that might be a little tricky for the devs tho)

My fellow 's, it looks like it's time to start training Scrap Metal Processing to lvl 5...... as I assume the cans from destroyed ships will carry the stolen flag in all their items....
Does a reprocessed or refined "stolen" item result in "stolen" minerals becomes my immediate question.
I keep a teddy bear in my pod with me. A teddy bear with sharp teeth, massive claws, and a pinache for eating the flesh of podded corpses. I call him "Fuzzy". |

Or thieves are easy to deal with.
1. After the theft, start a long, brutal smack talk session with the thief.
2. Take a screenshot of a large block of the reparte and print it out on a color printer.
3. Slide the printout, and a note that says, 'I know where you live.' under the the ore thief's RL front door.
4. (optional)If the ore thief owns a house with a front yard, erect a 15 foot tall, inverted cross on their front lawn. Soak it with gasoline and ignite.
The ore thief will no longer be a problem.
