Romeo Deluxe, thanks for posting that.
Yes, only 1 agent in the group will give a Faction standing increase only once in the life of the character. The standing increase is small and might not show just from looking at your standings. In the character sheet - standings section - right click the Faction and select 'show transactions'. The name of one of the missions those agents offer should be listed.
If you've never completed those agents before and you haven't received a Faction standing increase from one of the agents in the group, politely request that the petition be escalated to a Senior GM / Dev.
As for those missions always being repeatable, they used to be like that quite a while ago. Now I'm not so sure about them due to CCP doing a lot of changes to various agents over the past years. I had contacted CCP about the Circle Agents a couple of years ago when I was creating a page for them in the Evelopedia.
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Circle_Agents
After quite a few messages back and forth regarding the Circle Agents, I was informed that the amount of the player's personal security status will affect the agents offering more missions. Supposedly if your security status is between -1.00 and +1.00 those agents will continue offering their missions. I don't know if the GM / Dev misunderstood my question or what.
Anyway that explanation still doesn't sound very plausible to me but since CCP is known for having agents act strangely, I wouldn't doubt it. The whole situation was turning into a major time sink for me when all I wanted to do was create an Evelopedia page about them.
That's the reason I included this statement in the opening description about the 'Circle Agents' : Quote:There have been reports that some of these Agents are overworked and will no longer offer repeatable missions. However, that information has yet to be verified.
Well, I hope I was able to shed some light on your situation and like I already stated - If you've never completed those agents before and you didn't received a Faction standing increase from one of the agents in the group, politely request that the petition be escalated to a Senior GM / Dev.
Good luck to you,
DMC
EDIT: Ahhh, I see you got your Faction standing mission offer from them. I guess CCP added that other mission to that agent since it wasn't there before back when I completed those agents. I guess it's intended to be like the other Circle Agent groups where only 1 agent in the group offers 2 missions back to back, with the 2nd mission being the Faction standing increase. If the agent didn't offer those 2 missions automatically, probably be a good idea to file a bug report about it. The Evelopedia page should be updated as well. |

You might want to add something similar to what I said at the end, but phrased a little better for the Evelopedia page
Quote:You may get a regular mission instead of the Circle mission listed from a particular agent. So the lesson here is to double check the missions you completed against the Evelopedia information. If you get a regular mission, just do it and go back to that agent until you get the right Circle mission.
Anyways, on to the next challenge. |

Yeah, actually that agent should offer those 2 missions back to back automatically. Not doing so sounds more like a bug to me which should be reported. Maybe you could file that report? Anyway, good job on finding that bug and a work-around solution for it.
Thanks again for posting that information.

I had a bit more communication with the GM's and this my final say on the matter. I have other things to do. Quote:I disagree and this is a bug. Ikani gave me a referral to Abazen. I did the mission for Abazen and it was the wrong mission for Faction, it was a regular Corp Mission, but still Abazen gave me a referral to the next agent in the Circle Nakan. The referral should have been triggered by the Faction mission and not by the repeatable Corp mission.
However, the player community now has the right info and can get around this minor bug. It may cause confusion but one can still get the one time Faction boost.
I noticed someone added the mission 'Robotics For Sarum Family' to the Circle Agents page. I don't know if that mission ever gives Faction Standing. Oh well, this is now up to others to gather info on, I'm deep in the Data Centers now. |

Thanks for the update.
The mission - 'Robotics for Sarum Family' - was offered to you first before the Faction standing mission - 'The Carthum Executive'.
That makes it follow the same pattern as the other Factions Circle Agent groups. I added the mission name info to the Evelopedia page. I just wanted to make sure everyone has complete up to date information pertaining to the Event Agents..
Thanks again for posting that info. If you happen to find any other inconsistency, please post it here.

So if you get a boost early in the list of agents, don't stop there and keep going for possibly more standings with empires. |

A question about one of the L4 empire epic arcs. I would be more specific, but I am trying to avoid more traffic coming to hunt me so I will be as vague as I can.
I am on a chain that has taken me to lowsec where I have plenty of experience getting around in my cloaky+hard-to-probe tengu; however, I have not used said tengu to run difficult missions so much as easier exploration sites before. Again, being vague as to avoid further proliferation in local here: do the lowsec missions have a similar level of fire-power I have come to expect from the other L4 epic arc missions?
I ask because my tengu's tank has been tested quite a few times already and with the dual ECCM/cloak setup I have to take a fairly substantial hit to my tank and dps. I could drop the cloak for in-system missions, but due to the not-inconsequential traffic in the area I don't think it wise to leave it off for gate to gate travel. I'm working with one account so ye ol' scout-ahead trick will be quite impossible to manage. |

That's a good question.
All the guides and info I've seen about the low sec paths for the level 4 arcs are mainly courier type missions. There are a few encounter missions in low sec but those are not as tough as the high sec encounter missions.
I referenced both the Evelopedia and Eve-Survival for info about the missions before I made a choice of which path to follow.

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Syndication (Gallente)
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Wildfire (Minmatar)
http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReportsEpicArc
For the Epic Arcs, I started with a T2 rigged Faction / Deadspace fitted T2 Command Ship (Sleipnir) then switched to a T2 rigged Faction / Deadspace fitted T3 Strategic Cruiser (Loki). The extra cost of the Faction / Deadspace modules is well worth it, allowing the missions to be completed much easier and faster. The T3 Cruiser has higher defense, smaller signature radius, faster speed and quicker align time. Of course it also has less DPS output but it can still kill the NPC's.
The only mission I had trouble with was the very last mission of the Caldari level 4 epic arc due to NPC EWAR perma jamming. Using FoF missiles will take a long time to complete it solo. To quickly complete that mission, just have a fleet member or two take out the EWAR NPC's.
Hope this info helps, good luck to you.

The short answer is no! The lvl4 epic arc missions that take you into lowsec and nullsec are generally pretty cruisy missions from the DPS / encounter perspective. The areas where they happen are also pretty quiet. Unlike the pirate arcs the systems seem to be fixed (or mebbe I have just got the same systems by chance everytime).
Check out the details in Jowen Datloran's excellent guides - http://lorebook.eve-inspiracy.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=1&Itemid=2

Quote:Hek dood! Why you want to do those baby girl lvl4 epic arcs when the pirate arcs are waiting for you to go prove yourself a real woman? C'mon get real, they only stir the blood with a few glancing blows into dangerous space. Yawn!! Now the pirate arcs, they're different. They're way off deep in nullsec, all the way, and little girls who aren't careful get killed there ... many times. The pirate arcs also pay way better, and you can complete them in a rifter ... if you got the guts for it. Of course, being the kind-hearted vendor that I am, I can sell you a brilliant support package to assist you in completing the pirate arcs, having all the fun, and pocketing all those iskies. Check out our uber information page, and buy, buy, buy! All the good stuff is here!
But of course I would never hijack your thread with such a brash marketing ploy, especially at risk of CCP sanction.

Or am i missing something?

Kallie Rae, I can't really say due to various factors involved and lack of information pertaining to your standings and skills.
First and foremost, do not accept anti-Empire missions and train up the Diplomacy skill to raise your current negative standings. Training the Social skill will increase the amount of standing gained for completing missions. If you're involved with Factional Warfare, best to leave that.
Anyway, using the premise that Amarr is your lowest Empire Faction standing:
After training Diplomacy level 5 and Amarr Faction is still -5.00 or lower standing, hopefully Caldari standing is higher. If Caldari Faction is above -5.00 standing, work the Caldari Event Agents listed in the 'Plan' to gain derived standing increase towards Amarr and when Amarr get's above -5.00 standing, work the Amarr Event Agents.
After training Diplomacy level 5 and Caldari Faction is still -5.00 or lower standing, complete level 1 missions and storylines for Caldari agent located in your friendly space where you can safely travel. After getting Caldari above -5.00 standing, start working the Caldari Event Agents listed in the 'Plan' and when Amarr gets above -5.00 standing, work the Amarr Event Agents.
Hope this is helpful.

Yeah,
I suggest first working the Caldari level 1 Data Centers 'Graduation Certificate' agents. There's three different 'Cert' agents available along with another agent listed on the signed 'Cert' who introduces you to yet another agent for a total of 5 different level 1 agents that can be completed very quickly.
Hopefully those 5 agents will boost the Amarr Faction up above -5.00 standing allowing you to access the Amarr agents listed in the 'Plan'. If not, continue working the Caldari Event Agents till the Amarr Faction is above -5.00 standing, then switch to the Amarr Event Agents.
Don't forget the various social skills listed in the 'Plan'. They help a lot.
Good Luck and much success to you.

Another little question, you can only deliver the Graduation Certificate once? Got to the second system with another agent that gave me the same certification, and sent me to the same npc, but that npc doesn't have anything more to give me, so i guess it's only once? |

Kallie Rae,
Yes, the 3 'Certs' all have the same agent name listed on them but all 3 of those Data Center 'Cert' missions give Faction standing increase. The agent listed on the 'Cert' can only be accessed once and only requires 1 of those 3 'Certs' for access.
Basically you'll end up with extra signed 'Certs'. If you complete all 3 'Cert' missions and then take 1 of the 3 'Certs' to the agent listed on the 'Cert' and complete missions for that agent, you'll also meet another agent to complete. That makes a total of 5 different agents that pertain to the 'Cert' missions.
Hope that explains it, if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Question on where to start as I have read so I am actually confused more now since there are so many things to do...
I am a Caldari Character. I used to grind a ton of mining missions for a Caldari NPC and some courier missions with Security missions mixed in.
Currently I rat mostly now for isk, or incursion, or PI or whatever is going on.
This is my breakdown
Social 4 Connections 2 Diplo 3
Faction Standings are: Caldari: 1.67 (from 0.95) Ammar 1.24 (from 0.48) Gallente 0.57 (from -0.72) Minmatar 0.22 (from -1.11) Angel Cartel 0.21 (from -1.13) Blood Raider -0.68 (from -2.14) Guristas Pirates -0.71 (from -2.17)
I want to increase faction and fix pirate standings.
Where do I start and what it best to do?

Chaotic Cannon,
To build up positive standing with both Empire and Pirate Factions at the same time will take longer and requires a bit more selective mission work. The easiest way is by completing all of the Epic Arcs every 3 months.
First, finish training up the various social skills, at least to level 4. For max results, train them all to level 5.
Social Diplomacy Connections Criminal Connections Negotiation
While training up those skills, you could start building up standings with the various NPC Corporations of the Epic Arc starting Agents. Completing regular missions for Distribution (Courier) or Mining divisions is a good way to build up Corporation standing to help minimize negative standing hits towards the other Factions.
After building up standings for access to all Epic Arcs, you can start running them one right after the other.
I hope this answers your question.

Example: * Joint Harvesting, an Amarr corporation, has a level 1 security agent in Minmatar space. * Nugoeihuvi Corporation, a Caldari Corporation, has a level 1 security agent in Gallente space. * Chemal Tech, a Gallente corporation, has a level 1 security agent in Caldari space. * Freedom Extension, a Minmatar corporation, has a level 1 security agent in Amarr space.
There are others to choose from, some with better level 2-4 agents. You just have to do a search: http://eve-agents.com/
