My question is really simple, i know that if i join a corp my standings will only affect corporal standings after 7 days after i join. But, since i am in this corp for several years now, my doubt is if the standing repair that i am starting now, will affect immediatly the corp standings or does it also have the 7 day delay? If you have been in the corp for more than 7 days, your standings changes will affect the corp standing at the next downtime.
Corp standings are calculated at every downtime. |

Nice to see the plan here joined the Wiki section.
Been almost a year since I actively played and ran missions, and WOW it's a lot easier now with the snazzy Agent Finder and without the agent quality thingy. I had spreadsheets and what-not before, having to spend time researching and planning out which agents to go to next to achieve my plan of world domination. I did train up to a Tengu in the meantime, so I'm blitzing through missions compared to last time.
As far as I can tell, there hasn't really been any major changes to the standing mechanics has there? |

Octarius Eskravu, thanks for posting that question.
A special thank you to Tau Cabalander for answering that question and for contributing more information to this thread.
Nerror theTerror, welcome back.
Thanks, I figured adding 'The Plan' to the Evelopedia would make it easily accessible to more people.
As for changes, you're probably already familiar with changes that has happened to Event Agents over this past year or so.
The old original Tutorial Agents who offered 'The Endless Battle' missions were forced into early retirement. The initial post of this thread contains a link for a proposal to re-activate those agents. All agents except for Cosmos Agents (Cosmos still use old original quality level for access) were changed with the 'Agents Made Easy' expansion. Various different Event Agents are basically bugged / broken and or indisposed at this time requiring a petition to be filed either for access or to receive the appropriate Faction standing increase..
Other than that, gaining Corporation standing to access Epic Arcs and Data Center Agents is a lot easier.

I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to, maybe the new security status changes in the upcoming Inferno expansion?
Anyway, Data Center Agents offer players a Faction standing increase in exchange for Pirate Dog Tags, such as Angel Copper Tags, Guristas Bronze Tags, etc.

Quick question: I read in another thread recently that someone recommended doing all three schools for a faction to get faction standing up. I seem to recall that you could only do tutorial missions for one school, then you're done. Is that not the case? Can I do all three schools for faction boost? |

Katja Faith,
There are 15 Career Agents for each of the 4 main Empire Factions. Each of those 4 main Empire Factions has 3 different starter schools with 5 Career Agents located in each station. You can complete each Career Agent only once in the life of your character.
So basically the answer is yes - you can do all three schools for Faction standing boost. You can also work the allied Factions agents as well.
The total amount of Career Agents available in this game is 60.

Actually, the plan got my main from -6.x to (at this point) -2.04... Grinding L1's that last .05 to get below -2 (and get me into Minnie Level 2's) is absolutely painful... |

Ahhh, congrats for the standing increase. Always good to hear 'The Plan' is helping players.
Anyway, the Career, Circle and Data Center 'Cert' agents are all level 1 and always available. If you've already completed those for a specific Faction and still haven't reached the desired amount of Faction standing, you can gain derived standing increase by completing the same agents for that Factions ally.
Good luck to you.

this might be a stupid question, i might have missed something in the many pages of replies or even through the guide however despite pushing forward im still slightly confused on one point...
once completing agents for my lowest faction to proceed to do the same for its ally correct? (amarr first then caldari) once i have done the lvl 1 agents for these 2 factions do i then do all lvl 1 agents for gallente and minmatar and see saw myself up to lvl 4 agents?
my apologies if this is stupid or i seem delirious i just feel im missing something in my head and would like clarification.
ps your guide is incredible and useful and i cant wait for the day i log on and have +5 across all empire factions. |

Tekali,
That's a very good question and thanks for the complement.
Basically 'The Plan' is exactly that, a plan that can be modified to fit each players specific needs. The initial starting steps are basically the same for everyone and then changes depending on each players particular situation.
Based on standings, some players can work a couple levels of unfriendly Factions Event Agents before needing to 'bounce' over to the friendly Factions Event Agents.
Since you're Gallente, usually the Caldari Faction would be the lowest unfriendly Faction with Amarr being the highest unfriendly Faction. Going with that presumption, then Amarr Faction would be quicker to access due to having a higher standing than Caldari. That's why 'The Plan' states : "start with the Empire Faction that has the highest negative Faction standing above -5.00"
That basically allows you to quickly start working 'The Plan' instead of spending a lot of time grinding regular level 1 missions to gain storyline for the lowest unfriendly Faction. Now if both unfriendly Factions are above -5.00 standing, then it doesn't matter which one you start with. After working all the level 1 Event Agents for both unfriendly Factions, you can then start working the level 2 Event Agents for those Factions.
In most cases, after completing the unfriendly level 2 Event Agents is when you'll have to 'bounce' over to the friendly Factions. Of course this all depends on how much of a difference there is between the unfriendly and friendly Faction standings. When you do 'bounce' over to the friendly Factions, just follow the same steps as before when working the unfriendly Factions, meaning start with the level 1 Event Agents.
As for your questions :
Quote:once completing agents for my lowest faction to proceed to do the same for its ally correct? (amarr first then caldari) Yes, that is correct.
Quote:once i have done the lvl 1 agents for these 2 factions do i then do all lvl 1 agents for gallente and minmatar and see saw myself up to lvl 4 agents? Normally you can work the level 1 and level 2 agents associated with the unfriendly Factions before needing to 'bounce' over to your friendly Factions.
Main thing to remember is keep watch on your Faction standings and 'bounce' over to the opposite Faction whenever needed. When you start doing that, that's when you'll be riding the 'See-Saw' on up to the level 4 Agents.
I hope this answered your question.

Great, thank you very much and much success to you.
I had bounced back and forth on the level 4 agents and got my standings up above +6.00 for the top 4 Empire Factions, unfortunately there were still some Amarr and Caldari agents left. I could have stopped there but my goal is to complete all Event Agents available in this game and decided to do them as well.
Needless to say Minmatar and Gallente are getting hit but thanks to the Epic Arcs, they can be brought back up later. I have about 8 or 9 agents left to complete and then I'll have all Empire Event Agents completed. Next up will be the Pirate Event Agents, of course that will be done after a rather large buffer is created by running the level 4 Epic Arcs.

-10 with Gallente?
Ouch, hopefully Minmatar Faction standing is higher. If so, start with Minmatar since that would help decrease the amount of time spent grinding missions with a level 1 agent to get above -5.00 standing. Then you can work 'The Plan'.
Anyway, you got a lot of work ahead of you and yes, most definitely 'Good Luck' to you.

Great, with -3.15 Minmatar Faction standing, you can work the Minmatar Event Agents which will help raise Gallente standing quite a bit and when Gallente get's above -5.00 Faction standing, you can then work the Gallente Event Agents.
Of course you'll also receive negative derived standing hits towards the other Factions which is why it's important to keep watch on the standings as they change and 'bounce' to the opposite Faction when needed.
To minimize constantly getting derived standings, when you have all major Factions above -5.00 standing, you can then mainly concentrate on working the Epic Arcs since they give little to no derived standings.
Anyway, glad to help and hope you have much success working 'The Plan'.

Update time.
Since I last posted, I trained Diplomacy 5 and have got Connections 5 on the go as we speak. I ran all 15 Minmatar agents and am about 11/15 done with Gallente, running them all in a Thrasher where possible(overkill maybe?), and now I'm at -2.5 with the Gallente. Once I'm done with the final four agents I should be in a position to begin my jump clone plan, touch wood. If needed it shouldn't take too long to speak with the circle agents eh?
Sadly my once glorious 9.8 with Amarr(achieved doing nothing but storylines, if I'd known about the Plan sooner it would most certainly have been higher!) is coming down, and is currently on 7.7. It's not taken as bad a hit as I thought it would but a loss was expected so I'm not exactly what you'd call disappointed.
Many thanks sir, this plan has not only enabled me to quickly get on with my own plans, but I can finally hang out with my mates in Gallente space after several years of having had the door firmly slammed in my face :D Thank you thank you thank you! Versuvius Marii,
Congratulations and thank you for the compliment, it's always good to know 'The Plan' is helping other players.
Yeah, shouldn't take long to run the Circle Agents if needed. Only have to complete the circle once.
Unfortunately Amarr and Caldari standings will drop, which is the reason for the 'bounce' action. However, to bypass doing the 'bounce', the Epic Arcs can bring those standings back up without really affecting the other Factions. In fact, after getting all main Factions above -2.00 standing, you could just run the Epic Arcs every 3 months and continue raising the main Factions without incurring a lot of derived standings.
Anyway, thanks for posting and I hope you have continued good luck.

Just putting this up for now, I've almost completed all Empire Event Agents. I have 4 more agents to complete. Seems Amarr and Caldari have a lot more level 4 Cosmos Agents which has caused my standings to get lop sided. That means I'll have to run the Epic arcs before doing these last agents.
Will update this thread when I have completed that.

Ive followed this topic with great interest the last week or so and first have to give props for the insane amount of work DMC has put into this, and the continued support (and amazing patience with questions from people who clearly havent even read the plan, just want a 'fix' for their specific problem)
Ive started dabbing in the plan even tho my standings arent terrible, I figured i might as well get it done as a preventive measure instead of waiting until things got bad.
Anyways, I have a question about the Epic Arcs. I have heard that the arcs are alot harder than regular missions and was wondering if I might not yet be "up to code" for doing them. I normally run lvl4 security-missions for Fed Navy with relative ease in a mostly T2 fitted Myrmidon, but noticed that the ones posting about their Epic Arcs generally have Commandships or the like. Should I wait doing the Epic Arcs until I can run them in a T2 ship?
Again, DMC, thanks for your continued support and amazing work! |

Thanks for the complements. I guess if you're already easily doing level 4 missions, running the epic arcs shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I think it's a good idea to already have and be trained to pilot T2 and T3 ships if you're going to do Cosmos / Epic Arc missions. Also the Evelopedia, Lorebook and Eve-Survival Mission Reports (Links are in the 'Plan') have tips, notes and comments for easy completion of each mission.
Thanks for posting and again, sorry for the late reply.

Lysa Riay, thank you for posting the compliment about 'The Plan' and for welcoming me back. It's good to be back here again, both in-forums and in-game.
I only have a few more Empire Cosmos Agents left to complete. However, due to Amarr and Caldari having a lot more Cosmos Agents available (Amarr has the most agents), my Faction standings have become badly lop-sided again. As such, I need to first complete the level 4 Gallente and Minmatar Epic Arcs along with the Level 1 SoE Epic Arc (complete it for Minmatar). After that my Faction standings should be back close to being equal / balanced again. Then I'll complete the last few Empire Cosmos Agents.
After completing the last few remaining Empire Event Agents available in New Eden, I'll probably run the Empire Epic Arcs a couple more times to build up a large 'Buffer Zone' before concentrating on completing the Pirate Event Agents (planed for 2013).
As usual, I'll be sure to keep you all updated on my stats as I complete various steps in my 'Plan' to complete all Event Agents available in this game.
