Just wondering: Who do they plan on fighting? This is a serious question.
As far as i'm aware Caldari has between 0-1 FC's at any given moment for "epic big fleets" which will inevitably be outblobbed and outshipped by Gallente on slightest hint of risk and there is still massive amount of "not going to listen what FC says" which has driven out most people who are willing to run fleets. Add to this to fact that Caldari militia is by far the smallest*, it does not help much.
So that leaves most Caldaris roaming with a friend or two and looking on killboard, these usually result in gallentes bringing about 6:1 advantage and ganking them. Yes, this game does not give any points for beauty and performance but seems awfully boring existence.
*Yes, we have over 7000 members, so what? Actual pvp'er pool at any given time is perhaps 30-40 guys. Most dont live in one place and most, for whatever strange reason, dont keep a set of ships usually needed for serious fleet ops (at least 10 ships of shield/armor bc, recon, logi, etc. vvariety). Rest of the 180 guys on militia chat are spy alts (some less obvious) or isk grinders in their cloakers. |

I would like to say that I am back as well. I have decided that I missed EVE and bought 3 months playtime and when I logged in I purchased 398 rifters. You will see me in the warzone in my rifter looking for fun. Rifters are awesome and so am I so I figured that flying and losing 398 rifters would be awesome fun.
Welcome back to FW, I have returned as well and I hope you are ready for my rifter invasion on your precious frog space. |

First I have to call up CQs station service to sweep out all those empty bottles, dudes and chicks and clean my ships from all them disgusting graffitis.
But seriously, - Im just a few days back and most what Damar points out is valid. Pure and simple vital to make a living in FW.
Spies, so called isk grinders (pvps need a full hangar as you said, and for sure I agree to that), outblobbing - even with caps - are not the problem, they never were.
In fact, atm you just experience the natural ups and downs within FWs evolution, like it always was, and will be.
The good thing is: there will be no lack of targets. So again wcb SoTF. |

I'm not referring to guys occasionally going on missions to get isk on their wallers. I am talking about 23/7 isk farming accounts who will never be in any other ships than bombers, who will never stop on gate to even take a potshot at hostiles if there is a fight going on and whose mains are likely sitting at 0.0 and who fund their game time with it and as result of dumping down prices, hurt FW people more than anyone else. (said isk grinders exists of course in all militias but I assume Cal/Matar the most due to npc's).
Oh and many of these people often convo and ask people in pvp ships to come chase away hostiles camping their missions because they cant be arsed to fit their own ships to be capable of killing said hostiles. |

To be fair, Damar is right but its always been like that though.
Also, just because you are in FW it doesnt limit you doing other things as well if it is quiet - The only difference really is that you can not be in an alliance. |

FW has been dead a long time. Yes i know that noobs keep dying every day on blob fights and such but actual fw with plex fights and such has been quite dead for a long time.
You have been looking for something better but there is no one.
0.0 need much more commitment and bigger ships, bigger blobs etc. and only reason why you take 0.0 sov is that you can grind is more efficiently.
FW was good mid size playground for casual players with goals that can be achieved alone or with smaller group and smaller ships but mechanics is now so "balanced" that it really do not work anymore.
FW might be good if ccp could solve couple little problems, but they do not want to make it any better because it may hurt their 0.0 plans.
I know why you went back to militia, it is fun to grind noobs in tama ! Easy kills with little effort.

That is pretty much how I see it on killboards. Bringing two corps with 110 guys in them to an enviroment which has aforementioned 30-40 targets (tbh, I think numbers are even lower) to fight against is certainly something one would not call a challenge. The so called "small fun skirmishes" mentioned earlier seem to follow universal pattern of "2-3 cruisers ganked by 10 cruisers/bc's. Of course I am blessed with enough neutral alts to keep an eye on surrounding systems most of the time so when I refuse 10 vs 1 fight and dock up, frogs come to local to smack about it.

edit: i got it to work, but if you look the fits of those killed ships you can find out that your fleet just farmed noobs there. |

You mean "Get out of the plexes so we can pop this cyno and hotdrop you with multiple capitals" like one pirate corp tried when they had their eyes on my friends faction cruiser. Naturally cyno didnt go off, they got killed and would be ganker raged in their killboard comments of the "noob not lighting a cyno".
No thank you, I stay in the plexes because having a caracal hotdropped by six capitals is just not something I want to go through every day (though i'm sure hotdroppers are happy).
Also, why did you try to convo me like a week ago? For some reason you were not blocked (all gallentes should be blocked by default since they like to spam convoes in middle of fights) but I quess your only intention was to smack for some arbitary reason when I was 12j out. Naturally I added you to blocked list right away.

You took the wrong quote, Damar. This is the one you are refering to : YORK CRAFT wrote: ... so called isk grinders (pvps need a full hangar Damar said, and for sure I agree to that) ...
And yes, 23/7 isk farming 0.0 alt accounts in cloakys are a pain in the a$$.
So when I say, "pure and simple vital to make a living in FW", that means of course : full hangar for pvp, competitive fleets, a good balance between missioning and plexing.
(And btw for the records : Im back, but I never left FW. Im still in from day 1, cause I know the quality fights along with sweet tears FW can give. As a '03 toon, I just took a lil break, thats all.) |
