We're aware that Tranquility is not yet up and we're looking into it.
Update: The downtime has been extended to 12:45 GMT due to the failed startup.

Hats off for the rather swift reply. I'm off to work, so take your time. ----- Why doesn't anyone ever read the forums before posting? EVE is a game of adaptation and planning. Adapt or die. |

I love getting up at 4:45 in the morning to not hit the post-DT pre-work plex circuit.
Ah well, this is EvE, can't really say it's unusual. Maybe I'll shave and put my clothes on or something.

on a side note mr wrangler do you think your guys could ask the players next time they want a patch. that way we know what to expect seriously? i dont pay much attention to the game development but id like to know how bugs got fixed and how many are still left including bugs with the platform too? Getting a bit sick of seeing sorry excuses i understand you guys are working flat out but still its like a broken record how many times would you listen to one?

We think we have identified the cause of the failure, so with a bit of luck this startup should be a go :-)

I actually am losing skill training time considering I just finished learning a skill that was a prerequisite of another skill that I was gonna inject just after DT, yay.

Pity, but communications about it are so fine about it that I don't mind the problem itself. -- No expansions before holidays and no release until QA gives it's approval |

WTF guys? I mean, it's almost 8:30 in the morning here, and if y'all don't hurry up I'm gonna be drunk before the server starts, and that would be catastrophic!

There are those people in life that talk about it and then there are those people in life that do something about it. Who are you?

Tbh.. i'm quite pleased to see that CCP has leaned a bit.. 1 year ago when sov 4 was released the startup bug was also very frequent (due to the Sov 4 database error i presume).. Sometimes alot of time whent by before anyone at CCP was able to take action (be it to stop the server from doing the startup loop or giving an explenation.
Now in 2009 i'm happy to see the changes CCP has made.. Within minutes the server was put back in offline state, the MOTD was changed and the Forum had an announcement after 18 minutes... Grats for the change in mentality on that.
Hopefully the problem is solved fast, but its given me time to get some much needed house-cleaning done :)

Yes very nice but if you have played since the game was created you would notice this is not some random occurence it happens on average once a week.

You're right, I should fly over to London specifically to turn on the switch, log on, change skills, then fly back. Amirite? Why don't I just add a few hundred Titan's to my alliance's space at the same time, maybe remove a few -A- towers as well?
