Erm, i mean, giving out killmails while i get the grasp of PvP
Can i actually expect to kill something?
Rifter
Highs: 3x 150mm autocannons 1x small Nos
Meds MWD Scrambler Web
Lows Girostab Small armor rep 100mm plate
All of the highest meta that is reasonably cheap, as i expect to loose a couple dozens of these ships...

I'd switch the nos to a rocket launcher, you don't want to be permarunning the MWD.
Try to fit a 200 plate as well. I don't know if it will, but it should fit.

I switched the web for a TD just because with a scram noone can out run you anyway.

Permaruns the MWD (with my skills).
Essentially a speed tank / buffer tank. Works great against most small ships.
At the end of the day though, it is just a T1 ship so it has it's limits.

This is my Rifter setup:
[Rifter, LowSec] Damage Control II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Nanofiber Internal Structure II
1MN Afterburner II Warp Scrambler II Medium Shield Extender II
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Gremlin Rocket
Nice for low sec pirating. Does about 1200 to 1300 m/s with the AB (a lot more overloaded) so it gets me into range rather easily, for the most part.
Its weakness is the lack of a web, but since I run the AB in scram range I can usually keep my speed up anyways. It has an ok passive recharge as well.

I would drop the CPR for a damage control if i were you...adds quite a bit of EHP and you don't need to permarun the MWD...if you meet a scram fitted ship u can't use it anyways. -- "If itĘs true that our species is alone in the universe, then IĘd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little" George Carlin |

Personally I think NOS is the way to go. If you get neuted, then you want to keep the point on as long as possible.

Not possible to fit the Rifter with the current setup and switching out the CPR with a DCU due to the already strained powergrid/CPU.
Even with all skills level V you run out of CPU and PG, and the CPU needed is greater than 5% so you can't make it even with hardwiring.

Use a named MWD and a named scram perhaps...i have one fitted myself. It does fit somehow...

since there are already a good share of reasonable fits i'll just say the fact you're in a rifter means you'll win. Rifters are awesome =D

Rifter is ace against pretty much anything except a missile boat with a decent pilot in it. I was messing with a Caracal fitted with Assault launchers... not very pleasant haha.

I think my fit was like: H; 3x 125mm AC 1x rocket launcher
M; Warp scram Afterburner web
L; 1x EANM 1x Damage control 1x Small A.R.
I ran around with that for while, and I got a few people to follow me in neuts or nos's to help knock people out of the fight. Easyer to get ransoms

I would caution you about putting too much strain on your cap...this is a frig after all. With all level 5 skills (pretty extreme for a T1 frig tackle ship) while running the full setup your cap is gonna give out after a measly 35 seconds which includes some of the more forgiving versions of the modules and the nos being in effect.
Instead of the repper go for speed mods like an overdrive in its place which will free up some fitting space as well making room for more damage.
IMO its not worth it to bother active tanking a frig they don't have the EHP or cap to run any kind of effective tank other than speed and size tanking.
Too that end also consider possibly running an AB instead of MWD as getting over 1km/sec is still easily done and is again much easier on fitting space and capacitor as well as forcing opponents to try and hit something the size of a bottlecap.
Oh and two things to remember gate/station guns = instapop and the rifter is honest in its description when it says that it is easily a match for most other frigates out there. GL and have fun.

Last thing you want on a rifter is a MWD. Your sig rad balloons with one simply equipped.
Switch it for an cold arc AB and you have the classic rifter solo fit.
