Scared you didn't I?
No. This thread isn't about adding carebear protection. It is, instead, about adding CONCORD to low-sec as a kill-able entity for legit pirates to actively kill their lawful oppressors. I've always been curious as to why there are pirate/drone rats everywhere but CONCORD isn't a kill-able faction.
Hell, just use the Incursion coding and have CONCORD do operations in NPC held null-sec, make it even more interesting. Sort of a "drug bust" sort of thing.
Just a thought. /Shrug |

Just a thought. /Shrug I support this product and/or service. And argue that it should be extended to all faction security forces with player driven impact on their distribution & response times. Working with everyone to improve New Eden -- Internet Spaceships Iz Serious Business. |

Just a thought. /Shrug because lore-wise, if capsuleers are demi-gods, then the CONCORD ships are full-fledged godmode, since their tech makes T3 ships even look like a rock with an angry face painted on it in comparison. |

You'd need some lore way for this to make sense, but it would be cool. You do kill a Concord officer at the end of the Angel epic arc, you know. It's a very satisfying feeling. CCP Zulu..... Forcing players to dock at the captain's quarters is a form of what we actually wanted to get through, which is making Incarna a seamless part of the EVE Online experience. |

I'm sorry, you must have missed something.
I don't know about you, but i've killed many concord/ded ships.
Already in the game.
Why suggest it? |

Well tbh Concord is not present in any system as such.. except for the ones they have settled.. So RP wise I guess CONCORD just have some epic skill at hot dropping everywhere and with a speed that makes absolutely no sense..
I think what we need is more faction and npc based "rats".. That would damage and improve the standing with the relevant entities..
The current faction and corp standing mechanics from player to pve is borked at best.. Something like grinding standign to get high sec POS is a JOKE.. The fact that the older and more populated a corp is the harder it gets, is such an old failure its terrible when players defend the current workaroundish crap.. Standing should be based on time in corp and position in corp. The fact you have to empty a corp and get a strawman in to boost is such a horrible mechanic. Hopefully an overhaul is very close in the future..
Concord should as you point out be a sort of incursion enforced mode that high sec systems enter when aggression is active. Illegal aggression only. Which brings back the player to player enforcing. If players could boost security in npc run systems, by setting up stronger guns and be less damaged aggression and standing wise on policing, then things would get very dynamic, and we could get rid of most concord interaction. Its all about how to let players govern the 3 basic functions according to Adam Smiths "The Wealth of Nations".. Security, Justice and logistics. So police and stations, hot dropping (shoot on site), and gate guns in that order.. Eventually ccp will get this balanced better, so many things have already improved in leaps over the years, so these things are closing in.. FINALLY..

I thought the lore was that CONCORD is a blend of the races as a product of an accord to keep the peace.
If CONCORD were their own faction, then the lore would not hold and only racially-specific ships or police would spawn to defend against unsanctioned aggression.
The balance of space would be altered with a new faction capable of instapopping combat hardened ships and should quickly hold territory and establish a new empire.
In other words, no. |

Pirate faction missions shoot concord rats all the time, go to their npc 0.0 and try it out. |

You must do so well during job interviews, lol.
I'm honestly surprised by the response of the lore, in fact I'm even more surprised eve-players actually gave a **** about the lore; to be frank. However, I'm failing to find the reasoning why CONCORD wouldn't actively go out in areas where there is rampant piracy..? I mean, come on Sansha Incursions go up and CONCORD is like: "... Welp, no capsuleers involved, suppose that's out of our jurisdiction."
Fail to see the logic behind this. |
