being bitter about an alliance , while you've bin in the leadership of the alliance prety much makes you the ideal target if you want to blame someone.
Especially if it might as well be your own fault ... but well that wouldn't come to their minds ...

I'm not a regular to CAOD but obviously this thread is linked from ED. It seems to have a few nuggets of wisdom and genuinely clever wit amongst a lot of posts that just seem to be intricate ways of saying "yo mama".

Another good reason I suppose to host your voice comms in the UK, where such behavior would be covered under the Computer Misuse Act (1990), as the law does not state on the purpose or intent of the unauthorized access, but the act of access itself. So for the TLDR crowds that means hacking UK Vent servers = making internet spaceships serious business. Though with 4,000 members I'm sure you have a British lawyer on the team that has a loophole.
Anyhow.
Two things come to mind about all of this. Everyone seems to lol at space bushido, but effectively military ops in Eve reflect a similar mindset to RL: As ex-Army, I know that:
1. soldiers love good intel. 2. soldiers despise intelligence officers, whether friendly or not.
So yeah, I'm a grunt and happy to despise thieves, because I don't think that the vast majority of any alliance (grunts after pew-pew) think that way. As much as this game allows us to be different people (I'm from RP background myself), I don't think that you are: you steal stuff from other alliances and say "it's just a game", but I suspect if we ever met in the flesh, you would sell me a dodgy car with poor brakes and say "it's just business".
I'll be at FanFest this year and I'll shake hands with you Mittani, but I'll have my other hand on my wallet, and making sure you don't leave me with the bar tab. Internet spaceships or not, I find it hard to believe that you repress this deviousness in real life and channel it all in Eve.
The other thing that comes to mind is the scene in Blackadder the Fourth about spies (8 mins in): yes, to us, you're the filthy hun weasels fighting their dirty underhand war, and to RA, you're the splendid fellows, brave heroes, risking life and limb for Blighty!
Spies are necessary and this was a splendid coup: I'm sure the intel guys and HC in many alliances are reading this with grim admiration, including ours, but yes, of course the grunts are going to think you're a complete bard. I'm sure part of you is QQ about that... but anyhow, well done, good job, but I haven't heard anyone asking for eloquent people to step up and write the surrender notice.
War continues, you hurt our efforts, moved on.

although its pathetic, whether or not their members allow themselves to be gullible, or go along with things, will depend on what they are there for.
I still find it funny that its necessary to lie. At least some alliances are just like "Ok, this is our target, lets kill them" and you don't need an excuse etc.

seems like a waste of a bubble... if I were doing it i would have large bubbles inbetween every object in the space and bubbles surrounding all gates and stations making a bubble bubble... but then again that is what I would do... but i would like to be a goon if they are doing that... hmm i now consider goonswarm an OK alliance... WTF is wrong with me... |

I may return some or all of the assets as IRC's naked aggression dies down. I have already returned a number of cap parts to various individuals, as a token of good faith.
Corps other than AWE that may have lost assets are free to contact me via evemail and discuss their circumstances.
No returns will happen if I believe that the assets will be used in any way to fight either our RA or NC brosefs, in any system that is not IRC sov. space.

Seems like you've forgotten that loyalty thing already. Include ED space and you may get a better outcome. After all, this all started because of a bit of blue on blue from the brosefs, not necessarily RA, but their tenants.

Interesting, seems like IRC complied with goons and now Red is taking advantage to go on the offensive in drone space, wasn't the whole point of this for the reds to attack -A-?

It seems intrepid crossing wont be attacking any new areas anytime soon. I seem to have misplaced their things.
We all know they will just petition it and get everything back. After all, all goons do is metagaming, cheating and hacking into other people's accounts.
Since you admit it so openly, all accounts should be banned, and investigated. Maybe CCP will take action this time... you are a pathetic bunch of L00SERS if you don't know other way of fighting a war.
