No no, Megatron was a Decepticon. He should've known it was a deception! ** ** PINTO is now hiring and training newbies in high-sec **

It seems as though you're not the only one to be taken in by this scam...

lol... With more real weapons going around than probably all other countries combined... the U.S. is worried about toy weapons now? You've got to love that country

Yeah, too many idiot kids waving toy guns around like they're the real thing only to get shot by the police. I think most toy guns have to be bright orange and look clearly like a toy. Has been that way for years. ** ** PINTO is now hiring and training newbies in high-sec **

Seriously? :D
I did see a clever one the other day. Looked like he was trading a Megathron and 300M for a Navy issue. It was a Megathron for a Navy Issue and 300 million.
Good thing I read carefully. SIGNATURE

Not all scams are easy to see. Hell, contracts are VERY badly worded sometimes. When I'm passing things off to corpmates or my selling alt, I double or trile check the contract so that I don't lose my ISK. Says weird things that don't make sense sometimes. --Don't feed trolls. |

Simple solution: If you're buying a ship thru the trade window, make sure its packaged. If they're trying to trade you an unpackaged ship, and they won't do it in a contract, its a scam.

shhhhhh.. No giving away the secrets.
Edit: Oh! Also, speaking of not trading via contract. For the first time in ages I tried to do a legitimate contract (something i actually wanted to sell to someone because i know them IRL.. ripped them off on price, but still) and my contract window broke! I couldn't do a player lookup in it at all. I had to relog to get it to work. I've been lying about that one for months and when I finally try and do it for real I found out I wasn't actually lying.
