Since we, Eve Guardian, made this mistake publicly we also invite comments equally in public. Correction, and apology, for an editor's blunder can be found here.
And it is my blunder, not anyone else's. When patently wrong material gets published... well not only does the buck stop here but so will the blame. Eve Guardian - Former Reporter

My trust in an unbiased Eve Guardian has been restored. I do hope my amarrian brothers and sisters now will see Tetrimon from a different side, the true side.
Here a quote of the Imperial Chancellor: "There has been some controversy over the recent activities of the Tetrimon Cult. The office of the Chancellor wishes to remind all faithful Amarran citizens that the previous Emperor, Heideran VII, issued an edict of supression of all the teachings of the Tetrimon Cult.
Doriam II has yet to make a statement about this edict, and until such time all contact with the Cult is to be avoided."
... and here is the reply from Hardin, PIE: "PIE is pleased that the Imperial Chancellor has made a clarification statement with regard to the Tetrimon Cult. The position is now clear and it is every loyal Amarrians duty to follow the wishes of this and previous Emperor's and surpress the teachings of the Tetrimon Cult.
We are grateful for this clarification from the Imperial Household as using force against other Amarrians is not something we would undertake lightly. We see this statement as an offical mandate to take action against the heretical Tetrimon Cult who have been working to undermine the institutions of Empire... "
Hardin, I don't know where you can see the wish of Doriam to surpress the teachings of Tetrimon. I don't see how you can see an official mandate to take actions against Tetrimon. I see "Doriam II has yet to make a statement about this edict, and until such time all contact with the Cult is to be avoided."
I hope your sentence "using force against other Amarrians is not something we would undertake lightly" is not only an empty phrase.

I concur, Ardor.
One could argue that "All contact is to be avoided" includes all hostile militairy actions against Tetrimon.
Interesting that PIE Inc chooses to see this as a mandate to take action against tetrimon

Wasn't it the Tetrimon cult that was responsible for destroying a convoy of slaves recently released by the emperor a number of months ago? Or was that some other nutcase bunch of Amarrian misanthropic altar-grovellers?

Ardor we based that statement on false information.
In particular we were not informed about:
"Doriam II has yet to make a statement about this edict, and until such time all contact with the Cult is to be avoided."
This will now have to be looked at in consultation with the other Directors as the situation has clearly changed.

I am terribly sorry for the Udat Shan error. Wheya told me and i did check it then told her i would try to retract it... however the error took longer than expected to fix.
However, the emperor thing was true... the Tetrimon had denounced the emperor in the past saying he was "not fit for office"... i know this because they said it to me when i was talking to them when they first appeared. From what i understand is that they did a double-take after their initial appearance and changed their minds.
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

Hardin, this are good news. I am glad to hear the threat of amarrians shooting amarrians has been removed.
There are many things in the shadow regarding Tetrimon. We can not make a judgement unless we know the facts. Obviously there are hidden powers trying to confuse us amarrians with misinformation to cause grief among us. More than ever before we now can see how important correct information is. Because of this I urge those amarrians who are in doubt about Tetrimon to wait for information before making a decision. The only chance to gather this information is by giving Tetrimon a chance to speak. In the very end it is God who will judge our actions and not a mortal authority.
Makkar, your presumption is correct. It was Tetrimon who attacked the slave convoy.

Haratu, you immediatly made an investigation after Wheya gave the info to you and immediatly confirmed on the Amarr channel you've made a mistake. While I dislike your liberal point of view regarding slavery I am not questioning your honor. However it took to much time until the correction entered Eve Guardian and thats the reason for my interference.

There was a delay in doing a proper correction/retraction. Currently Eve Guardian is interviewing the GrandMaster of the Order of St Tetrimon. This interview was to cover a variety of topics not the least of which is the current spread of disinformation and, as the Order views it, false accusations of atrocities.
The Grandmaster himself smiled at me kindly when I apologized for the errors in the article. When I asked him his advice on how best to proceed with correcting this he said, "Let it stand. The work we are doing here will clear the air and thus is more appropriate focus of your efforts."
As for PIE's press release. PIE was given advance copy of the article regarding the Imperial Chancellor's Clarifaction. (As was Masaut'aa Matari and other interested parties.) The Amarran Government contacted Eve Guardian with a fuller, more accurate copy of the memo, minutes after the story was published.
While we tried to inform all parties of this fact we were obligated, in greatest part due to respect of the Amarran Soveriegnty, to use the "official qoute"... even at the risk of embarrassing those we contacted.
((In other words, my source of the info made an added qualification at the last minute. Can't always control that but I have to respect it... even if it puts others in a bad spot.))

You shall OBEY the voice of God, or you will be made to serve.
Defy the will of Doriam II and you will BURN.
My brethren, it is time to heed your loyalty, or face not only the righteous wrath of our Emperor, but that of PIE as well.
Mercy is for the misguided.

Dear Gaius, again it's weakend. Again you are drunken and say a lot of funny things.
There is some wisdom in some of your words, though. "You shall OBEY the voice of God, or you will be made to serve." That's exactly the idea of the Reclaiming. You start to learn *pause* slowly. The Reclaiming is the will of God. Our common ancestors build up the great Amarr Empire in the spirit of the Reclaiming.
Since Heideran came to power I only see lost wars, lost territory, foul compromises regarding the handling of slaves and finally Pax Amarria to keep the Empire in this sad state.
More and more religious reclaimers start demanding to follow the scriptures instead of Pax Amarria. It doesnt matter how loud you bark about protecting an Emperor who is freeing slaves, dreaming of recognizing the Minmatar Republic, offering an embassy to pirates and saving his godless son.
The return of old traditions has begun.

Gaius puts the mental in fundamentalist Disco.
As I have said above we were given false information. That was the basis for our statement.
Our original stance was to have nothing to do with the Tetrimon unless given some clearer guidance from the Imperial Household or the Theology Council - we will not shoot other Amarrians without a clear mandate or even explanation of the threat posed to the Empire.
With the revision of the Imperial Chancellor's statement and the addition that Amarrians should have no dealings with the Tetrimon we are reverting to our original position which is to have nothing to do with the Tetrimons...
