I'm looking for an up to date PvP fit for my Myrmidon...it will be solo at least half the time or in a pair/trio...never more!
1) I was thinking about using AC's on it, what you think?
2) What drone combo would be the best DPS for my Myrmidon?
3)Could you give me a loadout you have flown recently that worked?
Thank you for helping a noob out =]

Total agreement with the above, except that I'd suggest swapping the EANM II for a DC II if you're solo. Chances are in solo the incoming dps on ya will last longer, and a DC II increases your EHP a ton. I'd probably use the DC II in a gang too, but solo it's essential.

For general roaming:
5x Heavy Neutron Blaster II (CN AM/Null) 1x med nos/neut/whatever 10mn MWD II, 24k point, web/scram/invul, 2x LSE II DC II, PDS II, overdrive, 3x magstab Drones: 2x Garde+2x Hammers+1x Hobos (general purpose), 5x Warriors (frig work), spares (ECM drones perhaps)
No point in using ACs on a myrm, fly a cane instead.

It doesn't have a hybrid weapon bonus, so there's about as much point in using AC's as there is in using blasters, or anything else for that matter. The AC's are capless though, which comes in handy, and they're easy to fit.
The posted AC setup with dual reppers/boosters looks very solid imo, and sports a very nice tank compared to the blaster fit posted.

I would stick to one cap booster and use the other mid for ECCM or sensor booster. Also 3x15M+ rigs on a BC is kinda expensive. ---------------------------------------------

medium pulse laser II (frigate sized) is also a good weapon choice. maybe it uses cap, but it hits to web ranges with scorch, has nice tracking and you have no ammo use thus more space for cap booster charges:>

Edited by: Delichon on 01/04/2009 08:51:23 It's funny, but I have been toying with the idea of the PVP Myrm today and I came up with 2 fits that have general ideas already represented in this thread.
a) What Transmaniacon said: dual-rep armor tanking Myrm. b) What Chelmar said: full-out gank shield tanking Myrm. My fits were different in details in comparison with both Transmaniacon and Chelmar, but the concepts were exactly the same.
With a) concept you have active tank, so you should be fine when dealing 1v1 with some other BCs. Drake would still rip you a new one though, because it has 100k EHP buffer and sufficient DPS to push past your tank. But against a Cane or a Harbi you would have at least even chances. Another issue - you are easier to be caught. b) concept gives you a solid buffer (more than what a typical nano-Cane or shield Harby would be sporting) with comparable DPS. It is also agile which means that it is hard to catch you with out using a bubble.
B) works better in 0.0 solo, as you usually have very little time before the enemy chivalery arrives I expect A) to work better in lowsec, not that I have any experience soloing in lowsec really.
As for ACs - I would go ACs on a Myrm for 1 particular reason: ability to choose damage type. You would bless ACs if you would have to go against dual.rep Ishtar, that has about twice as much tank against Kin/Term compared to EM/Explo (stuff that RF EMP deals) And if you have to kill a Sacriledge (high natural explo resist), you switch to Phased Plasma and start dishing out almost pure Thermal damage, kicking Sacri where it hurts. Damage type selection is mighty important, and one of the reasons why Drake pwns in the hands of a capable pilot.
As for drone composition: I'd go 2 Ogres, 2 Hammers, 1 Hobgoblin <--- this is you "overheat" damage, you only use them when you feel that you have very little time to kill off your target. The reason to use this composition very carefully is that if you would have to rewarp or if your target is smart enough to target the Ogres - your damage output will drop fast. 5 Hammers <--- use these if you have time to kill the target. 5 Warriors <--- anti-frig. ------------------------------------------ "Russian is an unusual language if you're not used to it.
