Anyone else done AE and warped directly into the first room and ended up in the structure stuck unless you warp out? Happened to me on two accounts past two times I've done AE. Not a real big deal just kinda annoying. Warp back to mission there's a gate to first room as usual.

First time I warped in, I wound up in the structure, but was able to fly out it (or I was bounced out of it at slow speed.)
Subsequent warp-ins arrived clear of the structure.

Lots of missions are bugged since the last patch. Warping into the mission will often skip the first warpgate and leave you not at the warp-in spot but in sort of a random spot in the second room. Hopefully they fix it, because it's pretty annoying.

Really?
Haven't noticed anything like that, but it's pretty freakin weird if true.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

Thus far AE has been the only one I've noticed any issue with lately...but I've been mining alot and not running many missions.

What your describing doesn't sound like anything new.
I've noticed that warping to a mission sometimes warps one into the mission itself not to the start warp gate. It happens more often when one fleet warps to the mission.
So what you have described sounds like an existing minor problem which you have only just noticed since the last patch, not a new problem introduced with the last patch.

I've had this issue with a few level 3s. Most notably Cargo Delivery and Break Their Will. I get warped right on top of the objective, rather than 20-30km as I'm used to.
Warping out and back in fixes the issue, it seems. === This Space For Lease or Sale. |

I have experienced the same issue but I remember it happening before last patch, even before Apocrypha.
I recall it happening with missions that warp directly to the fight the first time, then subsequent warp-ins place you at a safe distance. This only happens to me with missions that don't have a first gate.
Also, I'm not sure what AE is, I assume it's a mission name? If so, I was on a mission last night, it was the last part of a five part mission against Amarr forces where I got warped into one of the "cathedral" looking structures and almost got stuck in it. Upon warping out and back in I arrived at a safer spot.
I hope that helps if it's the same thing, if not, then who knows what was going on.

Aye one squad member would always warp right ontop of the repair station in break their will..
and this has been happening for a while now..

been having issues with warping closer than usual in missions without gates since the patch. Happened oncwe and a great while before patch but its every time since.. I seem to remember something in the patch notes about a "warp to" fix in deadspace sites but I thought that was for exploration.. maybe something from that affected missions

Break their will does not have any gates, iirc, and the dual warp in spot is not what's being discussed here. You always got that same effect if you aborted warp, and re-warped. Slavers 1/2, Zazz, Drones Attack, Gone Berserk, come to mind.
However, I have *never* before been warped straight past the first acceleration gate, directly to a spot about 80km from where I'm supposed to be in the second room, but yesterday just that happened in Silence the informant.
I've been missioning for a couple years now.

I was playing AE yesterday evening... first I landed right into some station on warp in, almost got stucked in it then after 10 minutes of shooting got d/c. Logged in auto warped back and... nothing: there was no station, no wrecks, no mission rats just acceleration gate for second room.

I've been farming AE4 since the day before the last patch and since patch day I've warped into or near the first room structure every time but pre-patch it never happened in dozens of runnings of the mission.
So I'm with the OP; it's got to be a bug introduced in the last patch.

Hey, this just happened to me too. 1200m away from the container. Also, the first wave of ships was already up. Fortunately, I was planning to kill them anyway.

I noticed this as well. Even more curious was that if I gang warped in, one member would warp in and bounce off of the station in the first room, and the other would warp to the accel gate before the 1st room.

When I first had it happen to me (Fleet warp, one landed in first pocket, another landed correctly at warp in gate) back about September I asked a older corpy.
They said it had been doing it ocassionally as long as they had been playing (going on 3 years). Its not new.
I've had it in total about 5 times in doing over 1.5 mil lp in missions in the last 6 months. I had it happen once yesterday, but its frequency is still very minor.
Other strangness.
I've bookmarked the 2nd pocket in WC4 and been able to warp directly to the 2nd pocket without opening the 1st gate (farming it).
There are other times/missions where you can sometimes warp to fleet member and actually warp to them, not to the 1st warp gate in the mission.
The missions with no warp gate and land on-top like break their will, cargo delivery.
All these I have asked about and been told rare old problems.
They have changed the overview in Apocrypha, so when ships die, it doesn't always clean-up. Or you warp and your left with items greyed out from your last warp point. Now that is something new and happening regularly. I run several tabs and switching them cleans up the mess.

"Silence the Informant" has an empty first gate. After the patch the first warpin always gets me into the first pocket right on top of the cruisers (3 of 3 times now). Never happened in the two years before. Second warpin lands me on the first gate. Looks like a new bug.

Had these so far:
- 1st room in AE lands me on top of npc station structure - got bumped 30-40 km
- The Blockade (Blood Raiders) lands me in the middle of npc structures - almost impossible to navigate out.

I never saw that until today when I warped into an EA 1/5

Phew, I thought I was losing the plot when I warped into mission that should be deadspace and was surrounded by ships looking for an argument

It was mentioned in the patch notes that they had fixed the "warp to" distance command for entering a mission. Guess they goofed it up.
Anyway my experiences so far have been, Bypassing the first gate and warping into the struture first room on AE4, warping within 2km of the warehouse on Cargo Delivery lvl4, warping within 2km of the Slave Pens in Down with the Slavers lvl3 and warping into and bouncing off the Pleasure Dome in Damsel lvl4.
I never experienced any of these problems before the last patch, had desync a few times where things appear at the wrong range in the UI but never been dropped 30km from the usual warpin point or totally bypassed a warp gate for that matter.

Possibly more, but not in ways that are endangering your ship much more than before, though I can not speak for the rogue drone or anti-faction missions.
Silence the informant (4), seems to be affected as well, but now you can actually use 'warp to 70/100' so you can pick everything off at range. So for that one it's a plus, not a drawback, but the warp-in point is effected.

Just did the lvl 4 Blockade last night and the warp-in point was right in the middle of the 3 inital spawns. Not bad considering they are usually 70-90km away and I did not end up in any structure.

Edited by: Naran Darkmood on 07/04/2009 20:16:53 Since the patch, I've had it with several missions: - Silence the informant, - cargo delivery vs. Serpentis (very helpful if you are droped onto the cargo container) - AE lvl4
Edit: I've never seen that behaviour before the patch.

Damsel can also be a bit buggy sometimes. I always warp in to 50 but sometimes it'll just drop me right in the middle of the pack.
