you can do 3/10s in an assault frigate. if you have a legion, fit whatever you want as long as you don't forgetthe lasers. |

This. You'll be facing tons of crappy frigates with potentially 1-3 crappy cruisers and a few sentry guns thrown in the mix, so nothing even remotely dangerous. Some of the 3/10s don't allow MWDs and force you to travel quite a bit, so an afterburner might be very useful depending on where you plan to do them. |

So much this. I've done 3/10s in an Imicus, do whatever you want as long as you remember to fit a weapon or two.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'm wondering the exact same thing. Would a Legion be able to do 5/10s at all?
Also, I've noticed its natural resists (exp/kin) work best vs. Angel rats. Does this mean you should stick to minmatarr space to make the most out of it? On the other hand, lasers deal better damage to blood/sanshas... Would love some input on this. |

Best dmg against Angel rats is explosive (witch is also the highest dmg type they will do to you). Doesn't mean you're doing it wrong with hybrids or lasers (fixed dmg type), better choice imho is to work your fit around volley value +web (small rats can scramble/web and BS tend to come close for hugs)
1 faction MAR+EANP+DCU II should be enough to tank those rats and put everything else on gank to get the misery out of them.

Thanks for the quick reply!
Would something like this be able to do 5/10 complexes? http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/59993-Highsec-ded-complex-Legion.html
My alternative would be to swap hardeners for EM/Thermic and work in Amarr space (I prefer Amarr space, that's what I'm most familiar with). I'm limited to Lasers and/or drones with regards to my skills. I'd also love to have a prototype cloak fitted somewhere.
Alternatively, I've been looking at something like this:
http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/61100-Legion-Drone-Explorer.html
Would this in any way be viable, or is the DPS too low to break 5/10 overseers?
I guess what I'm asking is how to best make use of my Legion, to the maximum of its abilities. |

Unfortunately can't help you with the best choice for your precise use since I'm not doing it with that ship.
Maybe someone doing the same thing will post a nice setup, I'll keep an interested eye to this thread too

Watch out for those blood raider plexes, I have lost two legions to Blood Raider Minor Annex.
It's really strange that Blood Raider Annex is much easier tha Blood Raider Minor Annex......... |

So, with the naturally high EXP/KIN resists, you still choose to explore Blood Raider land? I want to do this aswell, I just feel bad for not using the ship against damage types it's mostly suited for (Angels).
Also, what's the highest level DED site you're able to complete in a Legion? |

It's the same with the guristas, the minor annex seems to be "bigger" than the normal one... -Death is nothing, but to live defeated and inglorious is to die daily. |

They are better for Amarr space, but I'm so tired of posting it over and over that... yeah. |

You need a web. Preferably a Federation Navy web or similar. Also, there's a problem with this ship in some plexes: tracking disruptor. Occasionally I've had to bring in an alt in a vexor to help out, even though the Legion can easily kill/tank otherwise. |

Legion can tank 5/10 plexes well(except for Blood Raider where a lot of neut is) but the time required is not just unoptimal but in fact dangerous as people will see you on a d-scan and eventually try to probe you down. Also Guristas may permajam which makes for a nice day in a company of ...
That''s why I''d suggest doing 5/10 plexes or higher in a gang where somebody else tanks the room in a Drake while your pulse Legion takes down frigs with Scorch Ammo and Tactical Targeting Network subsystem(imo Legion is unbeatable in this regard instapopping frigs at distances up to 35km and.the fast lock).
If you want to solo plexes in a Legion it would be much more profitable(Isk/hour ratio) and safe(0.5 hi-sec) to do 4/10. |

Thanks for a very informative post!
I'll stick to high sec with the occasional expedition into low sec then, perhaps with friends. It's just that after doing low sec radar exploration in my pilgrim, High sec is so demotivating with all the time finding no signatures.
It's good to know I can theoreticall do the 5/10s. I might try some solo if I'm in a VERY remote part of low sec with good knowledge of the surrounding areas. Also, I guess reading up on each site to know which rats to kill off first will help a lot? with regards to neuts and webs and whatnot.
