First of all Eve blazes on a mac running windows. TOTALLY AWESOME.
And now after seeing EVE in an entirely better graphics display I would like to make some screen shots.
I can not however figure out which key to make a screen shot.

-------------------- 2009.04.01 13:09 appreciate teh answer but im on a Mac running windows

Edited by: Senyru Suru on 01/04/2009 18:25:43 what type of keyboard do you have? is it a fullsize one with a number pad? or are you playing a Macbook? or using the tiny wireless aluminum keyboard? different ones use slightly different ways of emulating the missing windows keys
check this site: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1167
depending on the keyboard it could be F14 or F13 that you need. on smaller keyboards it's Fn+F11
edit: check this site for really useful info also - especially regarding how to get an on-screen keyboard http://www.logicnest.com/archives/78 -- --- one day we're all gonna die, and then we'll see who's laughing! |

HEy thanks for thank link.
From there I foudn the link to the macbook (pro) page
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1220
IT says
Fn SHIFT f11
or
fn SHIFT option f11
However I have attempted both of these, and I am not sure if there is a screen grab. I don't see any file, is there a particular place it would be other than the desktop?

It doesn't write a file, it puts the image in the clipboard. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Null-Sec Player Influence Map http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Veritefw/FWinf |

Yep I agree with you! EVE runes really really well on a mac with bootcamp! Regarding screenshots: For those with my mac keyboard running EVE via bootcamp I do use: F14
It works great! (BTW the Apple Bootcamp Manual downloadable at: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/Boot_Camp_Install-Setup.pdf migt be of interest to you as well - especially page 15 where you can see the key-info)
The screenshots can't be found on the desktop btw, but in their own folder (EVE Captures) which should be located in the EVE folder in your My Documents folder. |
