I've always wondered, why do people use RAR so much? As far as I've seen, all it does is annoy the crap out of people who don't know how to use it. And you have to buy the software in order to compress with RAR, unless you pirate it. And if you pirate it, you might as well go with 7-zip which is just as good and free (as in both beer and speech) software to boot.
you do not need to buy any software in order to compress files using .rar
it's better than .zip, which is why people use it ------------------- |

Doesn't WinRAR cost $30? (unless you pirate it, as I mentioned)

Or people can download 7-zip or another program which uses the free DEcompression library (as in beer, not as in speech). Alternatively, presuming you are using WinRAR to make the archive, you could create a self extracting RAR file, can't you?

Oh boy, if i had known compressing a 70Kb file to 33Kb will have given so much problems i would have left the original file as it was after compiling it and posted it as it was.
Damn falcon, it's all it's fault.

I like win rar due to the right click unzip functions, and the fact it doesnt bug me endlessly about buying the product when I use it to unzip my midget ****

Okay, well, I tried your application with duel screen two clients on vista, two resoloutions too.
Works great, I just had to move the clients to the moniters with the res they are set to, then hit the button... Works fine, thanks!

Tested on Windows Vista x64.

Edited by: Adaris on 17/05/2009 04:23:11 Thank you for this simplistic tool which does a wonderful job.
I can confirm that this tool does indeed work on Vista Home Premium, on 32 bit system, with multiple clients. When you launch the application, notice the little icon in the bottom right of the taskbar (beside clock). When you are in eve (or even at login) right click it and select 'set clients'.
I have never enjoyed a good working relationship with other screen tools like shiftwindow. This one works so well. Where have you been all this time!!! *******

Great tool mate :) Is it possible to upgrade it so it can resize all clients in one monitor, instead of 1 client per monitor?

Yes, make sure all the clients are inside the same monitor and that they have most of their client area inside the monitor of your choosing.

now I know why it isn't working ... because i'm using the option to identify the clients with the char name in the title, it only works if I turn that off. Does this application browse the name of the windows in order to make them fit the screen?

I have just made a modification to the program so it will work with the option 'Show window identification'. New version is 1.2.1, available from the OP, thanks for the feedback, i didn't know about that option existed

I can't explain how annoying that tiny blue bar across the top of my screen was, and the fact that the bottom of eve was missing.
This tiny app is like voodoo magic!
Thanks and have this bump :)

I thought i had another idea, but it disappeared before i got to re-think it. :) 5 mil donation to you !!
Thank you for a awesome tool, hope you planning on more features :)
