Last time i was on a fleet op, there was 3 of your guys who at separate pos shots started shooting at me unprovoked. :frank: Yes kicking black mark will now make CFC a great coalition of great non-terrible players. So basically anyone holding space that got it with the help of goons and their 25,000 non-terrible allies is subject to do whatever they want whenever they call on you or be threatened with reset, 10 days to leave, and they will steal your corps. What good coalition leaders, you are totally right too when you say you have "friends" not "pets" because your "friends" certainly are independent and can stand on their own two feet without the CFC... |

Yea the sheep was pretty bad, I think it was picked as a ongoing joke.
I think the logo we had for the forums was good, and anything but the sheep could have been more classy.
Though I think it was held to a vote which logo we would get, so the main fault falls with voters for picking it. |

I don't even know how they lasted this long. Some alliance just don't make sense as contributing groups and need to be purged.
Now that all the CFC's biggest enemies are dead, we can focus on cutting out the pubs Everyone needs to be contributing and teaching their pilots how to post, heck if test can teach Xystance how to post, then there are no lost causes. LJB can be an incredible negotiator, it has to do with his RL occupation. To give you an idea, he convinced Zagdul that letting in a small, new alliance based in Syndicate formed mainly of guys who were forced out of Initiative's brief ownership of the South into the CFC would be a good idea - even against Mittani's wishes.
It's organizing PvP related stuff that was always the problem with DION, and later BLACK-MARK, ever since Nauron went inactive like 4 years ago. |

And that whole deployment to branch and cloud ring, didn't happen right.
Though it speaks volumes of reasons to contribute to a group when all you did would be forgotten, and they seize your space allies being a threat to existence greater then any external ones.
As I recall pure maddness and pandemic and other baddies started roaming more when deployment happened and one put up SBU's. It would have been much easier to give a strong response, and monitor this stuff if not a couple regions away helping someone else get space. The next people in CR are going to have to deal with this regularly, deployment or not, all for some of the infamously worst space in the game anywhere not drone.
and BTW black mark was in CFC from the start, when it was not doing so hot when enemies were at the gate, and VFK was under siege from DRF and anti-blue collation fresh from victory's in burning the NC down. Razor, yea they were the homersexuals who bolted and ran at a real threat with supers, and and didn't do much of squat to help CFC when chips were down. They joined much latter when things were rocking.

Black-Mark's problems were never the members in it or participation. It was sheer stupidity and corruption at the highest level.
You can read the mails to figure out part of the communication problem. BLM participation on ops would suck because even CEOs and directors would have no idea they were happening until a broadcast would go out. On top of that the alliance would always be behind the ball on getting staged for deployments. During the Branch invasion there were alliance mails going out to get all assets staged in VFK while in each fleet FCs were telling people they needed to be staged further forward so they wouldn't get picked off. CEOs were taking it upon themselves to counter alliance orders and tell their members to move forward to better staging systems. The alliance dread fleet didn't get deployed to Branch until the second week of January, a week later it was recalled home as the war was over. LJB had to sign off on any offensive use of personal capitals as well before they could be fielded.
Every attempt to get more organized was shot down in part because it would make it impossible for LJB to continue to hide things from members in the alliance. The typical deputy alliance CEO would last a month or two before leaving the alliance. Diplos were almost non existent and normally all in a single timezone. The command structure was often the CEO, deputy, maybe a diplo, and a head FC. The only comms the alliance had was the FA TS3 server and mumble. This comms situation actually worked rather well, but BLM was effectively an extension of FA since it was so easy to fleet up with them.
The alliance had a half dozen tech moons, but corps were still required to foot the bill for deathstars and jump bridges, still having to make SRP payments to the alliance, had jacked up office rental at the stations, required corps to foot the bills for POCOs and then turn over control of them. LJB had budgeted 10b/month for SRP, another 5b/month for paying leadership(most of which were in his corp that had issues staying in the top half of the alliance for kills each month), spent god knows how much building dreads that never made the fights, and who knows where the rest of it went. There was zero financial transparency and even CEOs had no idea what exactly the isk was being spent on. All the CEOs knew was how many tech moons the alliance had and what was spent on SRP each month. Everything else had to be figured out on our own.
Three days prior to BLM being removed I was still getting mails that they were trying to reset my new alliance because they let my corp in. LJB even choose to push the issue to themittani to get the issue resolved. LJB invented all sorts of stories in an attempt to keep us from joining several other CFC alliances after we choose to move elsewhere nearly 2 months ago. I went to most of the CFC alliances after member suggestions and applied, explaining our situation along with why we were moving. This was also followed by an audit of BLM finances. Ideally LJB would have been removed at that time and the alliance members would have been far better off. Sadly it didn't and the current situation came about. Apparently I was crazy to question the long-term stability of BLM a couple months ago and wanting to move my corp elsewhere.
Many of the major BLM corps were looking for greener pastures months ago, but moving can be a PITA and there was hope things would get better or a change in leadership would occur. This wasn't a case of FA or other CFC alliances carving up BLM. The CFC didn't choose to kill off a "pet" to take their corps and resources. BLM had been on a downward trend for a while. When BLM was reset there were only a handful of corps that had been in the alliance more than a couple months and even they were trying to get out. After the reset one of LJB's directors even walked off with a nyx, dozen caps, and the corp wallet from what I've heard. As for the alliance assets I would imagine LJB is pocketing everything that got out. |
