The cuff section on the new boots looks off to me. When you zoom in on them, you can see a gap of empty space between the character model and the cuff. |

I suspect the proliferation of skin-tight stuff is due to it being easier to make/code ('cause the fabled Incarna 'clothing simulation' leaves a lot to be desired, to put it mildly). |

Not sure that this (full body shot) would count as "decent" anywhere outside of a nightclub, though. :P
That said, I am quite fond of the black skinsuit with gold trim. (Pics: close-up, full-body) |

I'd like to note that the above body suits are rather pleasant. Yet unfortunately the Asian bloodline characters seem to have a bra strap that runs over the shoulder as well as around the body.
The strap that runs over the shoulder clashes with the bodysuits whether you wear a bodysuit top or simply the bodysuit bottom & shoes. |

It's a lot less black and white now as compared to pre-incarna avatars. It IS a lot more difficult to judge say who's gallente via the outlandish hair style or amarian due to the cyberknight with obvious head visor.
Yet do they all look the same? No. There is quite the startling quantity of ethnicity specific diversity represented across all the avatars of Eve. With a bit of practice you can fairly easily determine who's of which descent.
If you created a flashcard game with a guess the ethnic background goal, images flashed for 5 or so seconds in conjunction with ethnicity & bloodline tick button, you could probably get pretty good at it with a little practice. |

The new clothes are all fine and surely have some dark science fiction look to them that really fits well into eve. But...aren't we capsuleers supposed to be some kind of immortal demigods? Somehow I think that elegant business suits or heavily ornated robes would fit that theme much better... but maybe that's just me....

Please, tell my bloodline without peeking my employment story nor cheating. You have 5 seconds.

Obviously this is well past the 5 seconds time limit, but the shape of your avatar's eyes and skull say "Khanid" regardless.
That sort of challenge works better when you give a random set of portraits without names. ;)

Well I'm not really a fan of what they are doing with the unlocked skintone thing, but I really dont see what harm would come from unlocking all the clothing. I dont think it would compromise the integrity of bloodlines as much as the unlocked skin tones.
Plus we already have some clothing like the 'NeX' store stuff and whatever else CCP has released thats available for all the races. |

While I don't support the new skin tone system, I'm gonna have to say that I support Commissar Kate here. There's no even remotely logical reason clothes shouldn't be available to all races. If you need arbitrary and illogical racial boundaries to make your character distinctive and unique, you're doing it wrong. Mane 614

Come to think of it, has any consideration been given to allowing the sort of clothing customization found in Sims 3? In Sims 3, clothes and other items have multiple texture areas, and the player can assign different textures to each; the textures themselves have multiple channels, and each can also be assigned a different color. It would be more difficult to charge players for re-textures of the same base design, however.
Video link. Starts at 1:45. Dislike the actual video, but best I could find that has a player using the color palette. |

I am curious as to what the timeframe is for these now-removed clothing options to appear on Tranquility, and what the pricing is going to be. They most definitely look like top-tier NeX items, I'd imagine each of the three pieces of that pop-collar skin suit would be more expensive than some silly monocle.

Checked skins for existing pilots. While character editor has one extremely pale skin for Gallente - within captain quarters I couldn't notice any difference between present slightly tanned skin and that newly added vampiric tone. However it's noticeable on character thumbnail: pilot look like it's dead for few hours or has Twilight make-up. Must be glitch because skin like that should have glow-like effect. |
